摘 要:《普通高中英语课程标准(2017年版)》以立德树人为宗旨,提出了由语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力四要素构成的英语学科核心素养目标。本次省公开课类型为阅读理解与高考七选五题型相关联。主题语境为人与社会——文学艺术与体育中的READING 部分。本篇案例从文本解读的三个维度WHAT,WHY,HOW来设计。

本节课的文本来自于一篇网络文章。文章以奥运会为主题,着重介绍了奥运会的历史、一些著名运动员代表、以及中国在奥运会中作出的贡献和取得的成就。
文章浅显易懂,词汇障碍较少,语篇结构和段落结构清晰。文章逻辑联系明确、主线突出,符合高一学生的认知水平。学生通过学习语篇,一方面可以深入了解奥运会的知识,学习奥运精神和运动精神,提升民族自豪感和自信心。另一方面也可以了解文章的逻辑结构,体会作者在行文之中的自然处理。这些都有利于培养学生的文化意识和逻辑思维能力。
一、教学过程
本节课采用了“自主,互动,探究”的教学方式,辅助以多媒体,达到较好的教学效果。
Step 1 Lead-in
【教师活动】 Introduce the topic. Show Ss some pictures and ask them what the biggest sports meeting in the world is.
【学生活动】 Participate in the discussion about sports and get the first impression of the Olympic Games.
【设计意图】 To know about the issue and get ready to read the passage.
Step 2 While-reading
【教师活动】
1. Guide Ss to skim the passage to divide the passage into several parts.
2. Ask Ss to write down the subheadings.
3. Guide Ss to analyze the logical connections in each part and lead them to find out how the Olympic spirit is reflected in the passage.
4. Guide Ss to do an exercise to check their sentences.
【学生活动】
1. Read the whole passage quickly and get the structure of the passage.
2. Read the passage again and write down the subheadings.
3. Fill in the blanks.
4. Analyze the logical connections in the passage.
5. Check the sentences written before together and know why the author uses these sentences.
【设计意图】
1. Guide Ss to grasp the structure and the main idea of the passage.
2. Guide Ss to develop the ability to analyze and learn the logical connections in the passage.
3. Guide Ss to appreciate the Olympic spirit.
4. Strengthen Ss sense of national pride.
Step 3 Post-reading
【教师活动】
1. Guide Ss to read a passage.
2. Guide Ss to discuss a question.
3. Conclude the whole class by sharing the answers.
【学生活动】
1. Work in groups and work out the possible answers to the question.
2. Have a further thinking of the theme(the Olympic spirit).
【设计意图】
1. Guide Ss to have a deep thinking about the Olympic spirit.
2. Guide Ss to be brave to express their ideas in English.
3. Broaden Ss horizon by sharing their opinions with group members.
Step 4 Homework
【教师活动】 Encourage Ss to search the Internet for more information about the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and share with each other.
【学生活动】 Search and share the information.
【设计意图】 To consolidate what has been learned today.
二、课堂教学评估与反思
本次省公开课类型为阅读理解与高考七选五题型相关联。属于主题语境——人与社会——文学艺术与体育中的READING 部分。本课从文本解读的三个维度来设计。
WHAT
本课文章主题明确,着重讲了奥运的历史,代表運动员和中国在奥运会上的贡献和成就。
HOW
新大纲指出从文章写作结构来讲,句与句、段与段、标题与正文都存在着逻辑关系。课程的设计体现了逻辑性READ FOR THE STRUCTURE, READ FOR THE SUBHEADINGS, READ FOR DETAILS
文章挖的五个句子是段落的立论句、段落主题句、话语标记句however,体现了新课标在语篇知识上的要求。
WHY
从文章的深层含义,学生实际生活的联系,挖掘文本的育人价值来说。本节课设计中提问how does this part or how does this sentence reflect Olympic spirit? why does the author choose these Chinese athletes?
文章每个部分都体现了奥运精神。特别在第四部分中,学生通过阅读,了解中国在奥运会作出的贡献与取得的成就,可以提升民族自豪感和自信心。
总之,该公开课层层递进、环环相扣,体现了课程设计的逻辑性。
