冀教版《英语》四(下)Unit 3 Lesson 13 How old are you?围绕“询问年龄”话题展开。学生以前接触过这个句型,通过本节课的再学习延伸到句型“When is yourbirthday? My birthday is December 25.”,进一步提高运用英语的能力。
1.能听、说、读、写单词am,when,birthday(重点)。
2.能运用句型“How old are you? I’m ten years old.When is your birthday? My birthday is December 25.”询问年龄和生日,并能做出回答(难点)。
Step 1.Warm-up
1.Greeting.
T:Hello! Boys and girls,how are you?
2.Sing a song together:“If you’re happy”.
3.评价说明:
If you do well,your group will get one flower.
设计意图:用简短的课前问候化解师生间的生疏感,用歌曲激发学生的学习兴趣,用评价激发学生的学习热情。
Step 2.Lead-in
PPT shows a photo of the teacher.
T:Look at the screen!This is me.Can you guess?How old am I?You can guess from 25 to 30.Three chances.
S1:23.
T:You can say Miss Rao is 23 years old.
S1:Miss Rao is 23 years old.
T:No you’re wrong.(双手交叉,做错误的动作)It’s so young.Next one.
S2:Miss Rao is 28 years old.
T:Yes.I’m 28 years old.Can you tell me how old you are?
S2:I’m ten years old.
T:When is your birthday?
S2:Oh, Ican’tsay in English.
T:It doesn’t matter.Today we’ll learn Lesson 13 How old are you?And how to say when your birthday is?
Write the title and read it.
设计意图:出示教师本人照片,激发学生的好奇心,为其创造真实的语言环境,让学生在生活化、情境化的语境中开始语言的学习。
Step 3.Learn by ourselves
1.First,listen to the tape,circle the words and sentences you don’t know.
Second, listen again, pay attention to the unknown knowledge.
设计意图:以听力的方式整体输入,让学生初步感知内容,通过初听、再听,关注圈出的内容,培养学生良好的听力习惯和自主学习的能力。
2.Learn in groups.
Please learn unknown knowledge in groups.
Show theunknown knowledge to the class.
设计意图:通过组内互学,让所有学生参与其中,全班解决提交的问题,激发积极学习、主动探索新知的兴趣,培养自主学习、解决问题的能力。
3.Learn the new words and sentences.
T:Who can read this word?

T:Follow her.

T:Can you make a sentence after me?I am 28 years old.I am a girl.
S4:I am ten years old.
T:How old are you?(板书)
S5:I am nine years old.
(同样的方式教when,birthday,引出句型“When is your birthday?My birthday is...”)
设计意图:词不离句,句不离境,有层次地向学生输入语言,巧妙地引导学生在语境中学习新知,让学生自然地开口说英语,从而使整个教学过程连贯自然。
Step 4. Cooperative learning
T:First,read after me.Second, read the text by yourselves,try to answer the following questions,then discussin groups:
How old is Danny?
How old is Steven?
When is your Steven’s birthday?
设计意图:引导学生带着问题读课文,回答问题,了解课文大意,培养学生提取关键信息的技能。
Third,make dialogues after the teacher in your groups.Then try to show to the class(.在全班范围内进行交流)
T:What’s your name?
S6:My name is Li Dong.
T:How old are you?
S6:I’m ten years old.
T:When is your birthday?
S6:My birthday is May 1st.
各组按照上述示范,参考下图在组内进行对话练习。

设计意图:通过运用新句型,从组内自由模仿对话到全班自由采访,既让学生巩固了所学的语言知识,又为学生提供了充分的表达机会,进一步体现了以学生为中心的教学理念。

1.教师用 PPT出示照片。
Hi!This is my friend.She is 30 years old.Her birthday is July 12.She likes dancing and going shopping.
PPT 出示“My friend”。
Hello!My friend is ____ .She/He is ____years old.His/Her birthday is ____.学生先组内口头完成,然后完成填空。
2.学生自由介绍自己的同学或朋友。
设计意图:由基本句型的学习过渡到用短文叙述,不仅拓展了学生的知识面,也给其提供了操练所学语言的空间,让学生有话想说,有话可说,有话能说,使知识回归生活。
Step 6.Summary

T:All of you did a good job!Look at the blackboard.
How many flowers has Group One got?

设计意图:利用语言评价和奖励小红旗对学生进行评价,有利于激发学生参与学习活动的积极性。在这一环节中,不仅对整节课中各小组的表现做了及时反馈,也巧妙地利用小红旗复习了“how many”句型和数词,从而不仅使评价发挥了其应有的功能,还实现了课堂资源的整合与利用。
Step 7.Homework
采访你的家人或朋友。
设计意图:让英语知识生活化,真正做到学以致用。
教师播放视频,和同学们一起唱“How old are you?How old are you?I am three...”,在愉快的歌曲中巩固所学内容。
