as词虽小,本事可不能小瞧。本文就as要点进行归纳,便于学生全面掌握。首先,为了便于记忆,请欣赏as口诀:as用法何其多,介词连词都包括,介词as是作为,连词as得细说,正如正像表因果,一边一样加随着,虽然as要倒装,时间as有省略,固定结构要牢记,学好as上大学。现在,我们分别从介词和连词的角度来复习as的用法。

一、as用作介词,常与一些动词或介词构成固定搭配

act——as(扮作)consider——as(把…看作)describe——as(把…描述成)look on——as(把…看作)regard——as(把…看作)remember——as(作为…记住)serve/work——as(担任;充当)see——as(把…看作)think of——as(把…看作)treat——as(把…看作)regard...as(把…看作)use——as(用作)such as(例如)as usual(像往常一样)as for(至于;关于)as with(正像…一样)as good as(和…一样好;实际上)as long as(和…一样长;只要)as far as(和…一样远;就…所知)as well as(和…一样好;也;又)as soon as(一…就)as many/much as(多达)so as to do s th(为了做某事)

1.The man works as a cook.

2.We see Tom as our best friend.

3.As with hiking,hunting is also fun and interesting.

二、as用作关系代词引导定语从句

A.as既可以引导限制性定语从句,引导限制性定语从句常出现一些特殊结构

(the same… as;such… as;as… as;)

4.The boy has the same pen as that girl does.

5.She is such a kind girl as everybody likes.

6.This is not as hard a question as that one.

B.as还可以引导非限制性定语从句。as引导非限制性定语从句时,as引导的从句常位于主句之首,译作:正如;正像 常用句式As you know;As is known to us all;As we all know As is clear……等等。

7.As you know,seeing is believing.

8.As is clear to us all,attitude is everything.

三、as用作连词,引导并列句

9.A house is to a man what/as a nest is to a bird.

10.Our eating habits have changed,as has the way of our life.

四、as用作连词,引导时间状语从句

A.as引导时间状语从句,译作:随着…的推移;一边…一边;当…时候

11.As time went by,the boy grew up.

12.The students were singing as they were walking.

13.As a child,she liked music very much.

B.as引导原因状语从句,译作:因为

14.As you come,help me,please!

15.As he was not feeling well,I decided to go there alone.

由于他身体欠佳,我决定独自去那里。

C).as引导让步状语从句,译作:虽然;尽管(从句必须半倒装)

16.Clever boy as he is,he knows a lot.

17.Try as she may,she can’t be successful.

D).as引导比较状语从句,译作:和…一样。

18.Australia is as old as time.

19.The woman drank as much as three cups of coffee.

20.We did n’t run as fast as the thief did.

E).as引导方式状语从句,译作:像;按照

21.You must do it as I told you to.

22.When in Rome,do as the Romans do.
