O 字母开音节自然拼读

选取内容:以PEP四年级上册第三单元为蓝本,纳入了小学英语课标规定O字母开音节单词,同时涉及了少量非课标类单词。

设计依据及建议:本设计依据短课时、高频率、多接触之英语教学原则而做短课时设计。设计时,注重了对所学知识的复习,由单词及句子,由句子及故事,梯度设计。O字母开音节分在六个短课时中完成,每个短课时设计建议用时三到五分钟。

教学设计:

短课时教学设计一

1.Review “a-e-Aa,i-e-Ii”.

T:Do you remember“a-e-Aa,i-e-Ii” Let’s read“a-e-Aa,i-e-Ii”again.Show the word cards,such as“wave,shake,name,like,bite,kite”.Ask some students to read them quickly.

2.Before this class we have learned “o” as in “dog”,remember?Can you say some words with short/鬑/?Then show them some words with short O/鬑/.Now let’s read:not,hop,Tom,top,pop.

But now we have known“a-e-Aa,i-e-Ii”,so what’s about“o-e-?”Try!Yes,that’s“o-e-Oo”.So watch carefully.The words are changing.Who can try to read?

Listen to me,I will read for you.When you listen,try to tell what the differences are between the words.

Good.It’s just as“a-e-Aa,i-e-Ii”.(学生听并指出每一组单词读音的区别,结合所学“ae-Aa,i-e-Ii”的拼读规则强化“o-e-Oo”。)

3.Now look at the screen.Let’s read the words.

4.What have we learned in this class?Yes,we have learned“o-e-Oo”.Pleasereadand write the words:“hop,hope,not,note,top,tope,not,nose”after this class.

1.First show the chant again.

2.Here I have 6 groups of words.Now listen and choose which one in each group you hear.

(1)a.not b.Note

(2)a.hop b.hope

(3)a.nod b.Node

(4)a.top b.tope

(5)a.rock b.rose

(6)a.boss b.pose

T:You can read the words,now listen and write out some words.Then you can check them according to the PPT.Show them six words below.

hop,hope,not,note,top,tope.

3.Ifyou can write them well,I think you can really tell the difference between short“o”and long“o”.This time let’s have a chant.First,listen to me,I will chant with actions.栽hen,ask them to follow me.At last,ask some groups to show.

Also I have another rhyme.Which one do you like?Read and choose.

o-e-Oo.A rose is a rose.

o-e-Oo.A nose is a nose.

o-e-Oo.Open your nose.

o-e-Oo.Smell the rose.

Which rhyme do you like?Choose one to practice and next class show the rhyme you choose.

1.FirstI’d like to ask some of you to show the rhyme you chose.

2.Now let’s learn more words with“o-e-Oo”.This time I hope you can read the words by yourselves.Then I will check if you can read them.

3.Can you make a sentence with these words?Think it over and share your idea.After that,show them a story about Joke.

(1)In this story,how many words with“o-e-O”?Find them out and read.

(2)Now listen to the tape and follow it to read.

(3)Read the story by themselves.Then ask some of them to read.

(4)At last ask a question:Do you like Joke’s life?Why or why not?

4.Afterthis class,please read the story again,make sure you can read it smoothly.

1.T:In this class,let’s meetmore words.Thistime please read the words directly without pronouncing.

First ask them to read in groups,try to help each other to read the words.Then one by one read the words,make sure they can read them quickly and correctly.

2.Now you can read the words with “oke”“ ole”“ose”and “one”.So now I will read some of them,you try to write them down.Let’s check if you can write them:lone,mole,poke,woke,home,rose,pose.

3.I know you can write them more easily.Now I will make it more difficult.Do you remember the short“o”?I have an apple tree.I put it on the blackboard.Look,there are lots of apples on it.Now put the words with short“o”in the No.1 basket.The long“o”is on the No.2 basket.Who wants to try?When he/she chooses,let’s see if he/she is right.

4.At last let’s share a story about the mole.Please read it after this class.If you have some words that you can’t read or don’t know the meaning,you can look them up in the net or in a dictionary.Next class show your reading.

1.First ask some students to read the story that they have prepared.

2.Now let’s have a chant.When you chant with me,please count how many words with“oe-Oo”and do you understand the meaning of the chant?PPT show the chant.

Old Mr.Jones put a red nose on his nose to make a joke.

3.Now I have a funny story for you.First,listen and find the words with “o-e”,Then,listen and repeat,make sure you can read them.Read again and try to answer:What happened to the robot?What’s Mr.Mole like?At last act it out with your partner.

1.We have learned a funny story about Robot and Mr.Mole.I’d like to ask one group to show.

2.Afterthe show,Iwill show them more words with“oe”on PPT.Now I will ask some of you to read,others listen and try to tell if he or she can read correctly.

“oke”-joke-smoke-coke

“ome”-dome-tome-Rome

“ole”-hole-mole-stole

“one”-bone-tone-lone

“ose”-nose-rose-close

Then read together.

3.T:Good.So far we have learned many words with“o-e”.And you can read itmore quickly and correctly.So let’s enjoy another funny story.Read it quickly and tell me what it is about。(选自连环画出版社《我的第一套自然拼读教材》之The dog who stole the bone。设计时,进行了重新改编。)

4.Yes,it’sabouta dog Rome and his bone.Then read again and find out any words with“o”.

This time Ss say the words with ‘o’,I will write them on the blackboard:Rome,shop,bone,tiptoe,stole,bone,hole,got,pool,too,god,stone,lost.

Then ask individuals to read the words.In this story,we can see:Rome,bone,stole,home,hole,tiptoe,stone.And we can also see:shop,dog,got,god, lost. So what’s the difference between them?Yes,long“O”and short“O”.Now let’s read them again,then you can enjoy the story.

5.Now listen and follow.Read the story with emotion.
