学习对象分析:
本节课的授课对象是小学五年级的学生,他们已经学习了两年多的英语,学生对英语有了一些认识,他们对于自己喜欢的话题和知识有很强的好奇心和表达的欲望。所以在本节课教学中,首先要调动起学生的学习兴趣,使学生集中精力学习。其次,通过小组讨论、情景表演等方式培养学生综合运用语言知识进行交际的能力。最后扩展一些相关的课外知识,满足学生的好奇心,开拓学生的思维。
学习内容分析:
本课是冀教版小学英语第五册第二单元的第二课。本单元介绍了中国及几个讲英语的国家。上一节课主要学习了中国、美国、加拿大和英国的国家名称,学习了如何识别地图上的方向。本节课学生首先从自己的国家开始,学习中国的首都、语言、地理位置、国旗和名胜古迹等知识。整节课通过师生交流、游戏、歌曲、情景表演等多种形式进行教学。通过描述我们伟大的祖国,并在此基础上将教学内容进行适当的扩展和延伸,更激发了学生强烈的爱国之情。
教学目标:
语言知识目标:学生可以读,写,说出并听懂China,speak,Chinese和the capital city。
语言技能目标:学生通过学习,能用英语简单介绍中国的一些基本情况。如首都、语言、国旗、地理位置、名胜古迹等等。
情感态度目标:培养学生自主学习的能力;培养学生自我表达和与他人沟通的能力,建立学习英语的自信心。
文化意识目标:培养学生热爱祖国,以祖国为荣,好好学习、建设祖国的决心。
学习策略目标:学生在学习中能集中注意力,积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流;学生能积极与同伴合作,共同完成学习任务。

一、Class Opening
1. Greeting and Freetalk.
T: Hello, everyone. Are you ready for our English class?
C: Yes.

设计意图:轻松的师生对话使学生上课伊始就进入学英语的氛围中去。
2. Game:Simon says .
“point to northsouth eastwest”
3. Song “North,south,east,west”.
T: Lets sing a song. “North,south,east,west” with actions.
设计意图:通过Simon says 的游戏和歌曲复习了上节课的重点方位词汇,也为教授本节课的新授内容 is east
west north south of China做好了准备。
二、New Concepts
1. Introduce.The U.S. is east of China.

设计意图:利用地图让学生直观的学习和操练新句型:The U.S. is east of China.
本句型对学生来说有一定的难度,教师要多做几次示范,多找几个学生来复述。
2.Introduce: Chinese, English, speak, capital city.
T: Do you know about China?
C: Yes.
T: What language do we speak? Chinese or English?
C: We speak Chinese.

设计意图:通过师生交流,辅以多媒体课件,鼓励学生大胆猜测新单词的意思,学生更有兴趣、且记忆深刻。
3. Inroduce: Chinas flag, Tiananmen Square, The Palace Museum.

设计意图:通过国旗实物和师生问答使学生轻松掌握关于国旗的知识。

设计意图:给学生机会请他们谈谈自己所了解的Beijing。学生对他们感兴趣的话题很乐于来表达。

设计意图: 北京刚刚举办过奥运会,学生们对北京、对奥运场馆都很向往,利用这一契机,教给他们这些地方的英文,学生的积极性很高。同时扩大了学生的知识面,使他们感到祖国的伟大,激发起他们强烈的爱国心和自豪感。

设计意图:学生对于自己思考、分析出来的规律记忆才会深刻。培养学生自主学习的能力。

设计意图:自编的歌曲朗朗上口,用的是“两只老虎”的曲调,学生马上就能自己唱出来,学生很有成就感。歌词的内容涵盖了本课的重点词汇和句型。学生在唱歌的过程中就能轻松掌握英语知识。

6.Introduce China (Beijing) to a foreigner.
(多媒体呈现地图、中国国旗、北京名胜等场景,学生做导游来介绍)比如:
(1) This is our country. China is west of the U.S. We speak Chinese in China.
(2) This is China flag. Its red. It has yellow stars.
(3)Beijing is the capital city of china. This is _______, ________ and _______ in Beijing.
设计意图:本环节是对本课所学知识的一个整合、总结。学生运用本节课的所学内容来进行交流,培养学生灵活运用语言的能力,使学生学有所用。
三、Class Closing
Homework:
1. Listen to the tape and read the text.
2. Write 3~5 sentences to intoduce Beijing.
设计意图:听、读课文有助于学生形成正确的语音、语调,所以要坚持对学生布置这样的作业;对五年级的学生来说还可以适当给他们留一些写句子的作业,来锻炼他们的写作能力。
