Analysis on Centenary Interconnection between Communist Party Constitution of China and CommunistParty Statute of China from Integration Perspective of Party Constitution and Party Statute

ZHU Jie

The Party platform and the Party constitution are the fundamentally guiding documents related to the existence and development of the Party. There are two modes of the relationship between the Party platform(PP) and Party constitution(PC): “separation of the PC and PP” and “syncretism of the PC and PP”. During one hundred years of construction, the Communist Party of China made extensive exploration and finally found the mode of “syncretism of the PC and PP” which combines the PP with PC through the way of making the general program. The mode of “syncretism of the PC and PP” is an inevitable choice for the communist to closely link PC with the political lines of the Party and the Cause of the Party and People. The political, ideological and epochal nature of the PP endows the PC with “living soul”, while the normative, organizational and binding nature of the PC guarantees the implementation of the PP. In the new era, the orientation of “syncretism of the PC and PP” provides a logical support for the construction of “remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind ” based on the PC, because of which it has a distinct era value after a hundred years of ups and downs.

Analysis on Marx’s Theory of Moral Origin from Labor Philosophy Perspective

HUANG Yun-ming

Starting from the practice of material production labor, through the analysis of the development of human early society and ancient social labor, Marx revealed the role of the development of material production labor practice, the division of labor in material production, the production of surplus labor products, the emergence of private concept of material wealth and the formation of private ownership of material means of production in the process of social moral phenomenon. For the first time, Marx scientifically clarified the social reason of the origin of morality and surpassed all the previous philosophers in the understanding of the origin of morality. But he didn’t interpret it specifically, which resulted in the debate on the origin of morality in the academic circles of China. All parties have expounded the role of Marx’s material production labor and social division of labor in the origin of morality, but at the same time, they all ignore the production of surplus labor products, the emergence of private concept brought about, the division of labor between mental labor and physical labor and the fundamental role of private ownership in the origin of morality. They all ignore Marx’s revelation of the fundamental social causes of moral origin. In fact, the concept of private ownership provides spiritual basis for moral origin; private property provides material basis for moral origin, private ownership provides institutional basis for moral origin; and mental labor and physical labor division provide professional ethicists and moral builders.

Review of Kai Nielsen’s Critique of Rawls’ Justice Theory Based on Surpassing the Difference Principle

LI Yi-tian, LIU Chang

Rawls’ Theory of Justice(RTJ), especially the Difference Principle(DP), made deep concerns about the social and economic equality from a contemporary liberalist perspective. However, out of a more radical and even extreme egalitarianism, Kai Nielsen was not satisfied with Rawls’ position and criticized his DP strongly. He analyzed the inner conflicts of DP, but also refuted its assumptions, as well as revealed its ideological and non-historical features. According to Nielsen, DP by its nature was coherent with the social division in a class society, and was a kind of idea or conception within a certain phase of human history, so it was in essence the liberal ideology which defended the class inequality in a welfare capitalist state. Nielsen believed that the equality in a strict sense would and must be beyond the DP, and be realized in a classless society. Nielsen’s critique of the DP revealed the limits of liberal egalitarianism and showed the difference between Marxism and liberalism more accurately.

The Turn of Cultural Management:Analysis on Chinese Evolution of Cultural Consumption Theory in Modern China

FU Cai-wu, HE Peng

In recent years, the expansion of “cultural consumption” has been the focus of national policy. Around the cultural market and cultural consumption, domestic theoretical circles have carried out a wealth of research. The theory of “cultural consumption” emerged as a trend of cultural criticism in the west, firstly manifested in philosophy and sociology, and then gradually connected with economics, industrial research and social structure. In the 1980s, the western “cultural consumption” theory was introduced into China and began the process of sinicization, showing two paths of art and cultural economics. With the development of China’s economy and society and the gradual in-depth study of cultural consumption in domestic academic research, cultural consumption theory has turned to “cultural management”, which is embodied in the following aspects: firstly, cultural consumption theory has gradually becoming a “ferry” connecting system and market, policy and practice, that is, the “middle-level theory” turn of cultural consumption theory; secondly, the current domestic academic theory of cultural consumption is moving towards the practical strategy and problem response, and the action characteristics are significant, that is, the “action research” turn of the theory of cultural consumption; thirdly, in the relevant research of domestic academic circles, “cultural scene” has become a specific carrier to realize the fusion of the theory of cultural consumption from the system to the market, and from the policy to the practice, in order to deal with the upgrading and increasing diversification of residents’ cultural consumption demands and thus leads to the “cultural scene” turn of cultural consumption theory.

Retrospective Review of Literary Writing of Chinese Youth in the 1980sand Formation of the Golden Generation Writers

YANG Yan

In the general narrative of the history of literature, Chinese writers born in the 1950s and the 1960s were deemed as the different generations and communities. However, at the initial stage of the new Period Literature, they were named as the young writers of the contemporaries, and together they became the participator, promoter, practitioner of the literary revolution. The changing times provided an opportunity for writers born in the 1950s and the 1960s to emerge, while the writers also artistically interpreted the youth temperament of the 1980s and then demonstrated the literary spirits centered on exploration, innovation, openness and inclusiveness. Writers born in the 1950s and the 1960s started to create works at the beginning of the new era and kept outputting works in the 1980s, the 1990s and even the new century. Their creation was synchronized and resonated with the historical progress of China’s reform and opening-up. They achieved the golden age of Chinese Contemporary Literature and also grew into the “golden generation”. The intrinsic literary spirit is of profound value and significance for follow-up development of Chinese literature.

Philosophical Analysis on“What Is Translation?”——Review of Benjamin’s Contribution to the Definition of Translation

WU Chang-qing

Compared with traditional translation activities, great changes have taken place not only in the form, content, but also in method, purpose and function of translation. Defining possibility for translation and its dialectical relationship between scientific perspective and philosophical perspective belong to the category of meta theory for translation studies. The essence of translation has undergone a cognitive transformation from the language core to the cultural core and then to the language service core. The definition of translation from the perspective of philosophy breaks down the barriers of language instrumentalism and extends the cognition of the nature of translation attached to language. Benjamin’s general linguistic philosophy reveals the philosophical nature of the definition of “translation” from the perspective of language. Only by putting translation in a more open and developing context and constantly sublimating the cognition of “what is translation”, can we better grasp the essence of translation and clarify the translator’s mission and task.

How to Turn Institutional Advantages into Governance Effectiveness?New Perspective on Campaign-Style Governance of Grassroot Governments

ZENG Ming, TAO Ye-hua

Campaign-style governance is a special governance method adopted by local government in dealing with emergencies. However, because some governance effects are significant, and some effects are difficult to last, it has often been controversial. The “Institutional Advantages-Governance Effectiveness” transformation proposition provides a novel perspective for understanding the differences in campaign-style governance effects:value construction, pressure-based political systems, and “cooperative community” governance mechanisms are important logical conditions for effective campaign-style governance. Among them, whether the value of good governance can be realized is the key. The campaign-style governance’s previous campaign-style governance around the “ban on straw burning” did not achieve the desired results due to the “cooperative black box” of governance. However, in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple governance entities have produced a “value consensus” and under the comprehensive effect of “value-system-mechanism”, the value objectives of good governance, the party’s leadership and the mass line and other institutional advantages can be effectively brought into play, which promotes effective cooperation between subjects and realizes the transformation from institutional advantages into governance effectiveness. This embodies the internal logic of effective campaign-style governance, and is also a new picture of campaign-style governance under the background of governance modernization. Based on the current cooperative dilemma of campaign-style governance, we can start from four aspects: ideological atmosphere, governance mechanism, evaluation system, and governance capabilities, and incorporate elements such as system, good governance, and autonomy into it, ensuring that governance effectiveness of campaign-style governance is achieved.

Can Security Interest System Reform Promote Corporate Risk Taking?——Based on Natural Experiment of Property Law Enactment in China

ZHANG Xin-min, CHEN Shuai

Based on the enactment of the Property Law in 2007, this paper constructs a difference in difference model to investigate the impact of the reform on security interest system marked by the promulgation of the Property Law on corporate risk-taking. The results show that, after the enactment of the Property Law, compared with the enterprises with higher proportion of fixed assets, the risk-taking level of enterprises with lower proportion of fixed assets has been significantly improved. It is further found that the worse the legal system environment, the weaker the debt financing ability and the samples of non-state-owned enterprises, the more significant the promotion effect of security interest system reform on enterprise risk-taking. This paper not only expands the research on the economic consequences of “Law and Finance”, but also provides new empirical evidence for evaluating the consequences of the Property Law comprehensively, and has important policy implications for the government to enhance the level of enterprise risk-taking during the period of the COVID-19 outbreak.
