教学过程

一、读前——聚焦主题,激发兴趣

Greetings:

T:Good morning,boys and girls!How are you?

S:I’m fine,thank you.

T:And we’ll read a story.Do you like stories?It’s about an animal.Look!What’s this?It’s a cute bear,and his name is Zoom.

设计意图:上课伊始,通过自由对话,询问学生是否喜欢故事。通过故事激趣,激发学生学习英语的热情与阅读兴趣。

二、读中——分析文本内容,培养阅读策略

1.读大意——了解背景,获取信息

T:Zoom will have a test.Do you know test?(出示单词test,告诉学生e的发音,让学生自己读出单词。)

T:These pictures are about test.(出示测试的图片)What does it mean?

S:It means...

T:Every term we will have some tests.And Zoom will have a test.WhattestwillZoom have?Does Zoom pass the test?Now please read the story by yourselves,then try to answer the two questions.Please read and underline the answers.

设计意图:在阅读前,引出本课的重点词test,直接导入故事。通过两个问题初读故事,引导学生快速理解故事大意。在学生回答问题的过程中不断用“Good job!Perfect!”评价学生,让学生在真实的情境中感受这些词的含义。

2.读细节——指导策略,读明细节

T:Zoom past the test.Can Zoom sing well in the test?

S:Yes,he can.(板书:sing well)

T:When will the test be?He can sing very well in the test.Can Zoom sing well at first?

T:Look!What’s the date?

S:It’s April 30th.(黑板上贴日期:April 30th)

T:Can Zoom sing well on April 30th?Please read Part 1,then try to fill in the blanks.(自己读第一部分,画出答案。)

Music teacher:The singing test will be on May 4th.

Zoom:I can’t sing well.

Zip:Don’t worry.Practice makes perfect.

S:The singing test will be on May 4th.(黑板上贴日期:May 4th)

T:CanZoom singwell?What does Zoom say?

S:I can’t sing well.(板书:can’t sing well)

T:It’sApril30th.The singing test will be on May 4th.Zoom can’t sing well.So he is worried.ButZip hasagood advice.What does Zip say?

S:Don’tworry.Practice makesperfect.出示句子:“Practice means练习。Perfect means very good or great!Practice makes perfect.”出示practice和perfect的汉语意思,让学生猜这个句子的意思。

设计意图:第一部分的内容比较复杂,通过填空的形式降低难度,引导学生提炼出第一部分的主要信息。了解故事发生的背景。学习“Practice makes perfect.”,使学生初步理解句子的意思。

(2)Picture 2

T:Practice makes perfect.And it’s also Zoom’s advice.Does Zoom practise the song?How does Zoom pass the test?

T:Let’s look at the May 1st.Who comes to Zoom’home?What does Zip say? The birthday party will be interesting.Will Zoom go to the party?

(自己读第三部分和第四部分,圈出答案,完成表格)

S:No.He says:No,I can’t.I want to practise my song.(根据学生的回答板书)

T:Practise and practice,are they the same?Look,ce,se,they’re differen’t.But they’re the same pronunciation and the same Chinese meaning. But“Practice makes perfect”,here practice is a noun(名词).I want to practise my song. Here practise is a verb(动词).Are you clear?

设计意图:阅读中,需要学生细读体会故事。此故事的重点内容是第二部分到第四部分。通过表格的形式,引导学生提炼出第二部分的主要内容,使知识重点突出,学生一看表格,就能概括整段话的意思。通过引导,教学生提炼信息的方法,为下面让其自己提炼信息做好铺垫。本课出现practise和practice,学生搞不清这两个单词的区别,通过对比,让其能够区分清楚。

(3)Picture 3&Picture 4

On May 1st,Zoom wants to practise his song.What about May 2nd and May 3rd?Look at the pictures.Who comes to Zoom’s home?What do Rabbit and Cat say?What does Zoom say?Please read Picture 3&Picture 4,and fill in the form.You can circle the key words,then talk in pairs.

设计意图:通过第二部分,学生已经掌握了提炼文本主要内容的方法。把第三部分和第四部分放手给学生,让其运用第二部分的阅读方法,提炼第三部分和第四部分的主要内容,做到学以致用。

(4)Picture 5

T:Zoom practises his song everyday.He practises all the time.Then he can sing very well.So Miss Bird says?

S:Good job,Zoom!

T:“Good job!”What’s the meaning?

S1:Very good!

S2:Great!

T:Yes.What does Zoom say?Is he happy?

S:Yes.

三、读后——拓展阅读,开阔视野

1.读有所悟——总结讨论,旨在升华

T:Of course! Because he past the test.What do you think about Zoom?

S1:He’s a good boy.

S2:...

T:Yes.Zoom works very hard.We should learn from Zoom.Right?

T:Can you give this story a title?You can find it from the story.

S1:Singing test.

S2:Practice makes perfect.

S3:Clever Zoom.

S4:...

T:Which one do you like best?

S:Practice makes perfect.(板书故事题目)

设计意图:通过阅读整篇故事,学生已经理解故事大意。引导学生谈论对主人公Zoom的看法,以进行思想渗透,引导培养他们良好的学习习惯。这篇故事没有题目,让学生根据自己的理解为故事命名,可以帮助他们更好地理解故事内容,进而把握故事的主题。

2.读有所思——复述文本,融会贯通

T:Look! On April 30th,Zoom can’t sing well.On May 1st,Zoom doesn’tgotothe party.He practises his song.On May2nd,Zoom doesn’tplay football.He practises his song.On May 3rd,Zoom doesn’t watch TV.He practises his song.At last,he can sing the song very well.So practice makes perfect.(根据板书,教师带学生一起复述故事)

Imitate the story and retell.

T:You did a good job.I think you can understand this story very well.Now,let’s listen and imitate.

T:Now,let’s read the story in groups,then try to retell.

设计意图:通过听录音、模仿发音,培养学生的模仿能力,形成正确的语音、语调。引导学生模仿动物的语调,还能激发其模仿兴趣。请学生结合板书的思维导图复述故事,综合运用知识进行语言输出。

3.读有所练——拓展阅读,课后延伸

阅读拓展素材。出示三条谚语,再出示三个英文小故事(略)。

T:Just now we learned the story:Practice makes perfect.And it’s also a proverb.There are many proverbs in our daily life.Look! No pains,no gains.Many hands make light work.A friend in need is a friend indeed.What do they mean?

T:Youdon’tknow.No problem.I have 3 stories about the proverbs.After reading the stories.You willknow them.Now let’s read the stories and try to get the meaning.

设计意图:再次出示三条谚语,并配上三个小故事,让学生通过阅读小故事来理解谚语的意思,培养其阅读理解能力。通过教学三条谚语,让学生真正学有所得。
