【教材分析】

本课的话题选自七年级(上) Unit 9  My favorite subject is science. Section A 1a-1c.围绕“谈论自己所喜欢的学科”这一话题,展开形式多样的听、说、读、写活动。主要学习和掌握学科的表达;通过本节课的学习以及形式多样的活动(如:制作课表、角色扮演、调查报告等)使学生学会谈论自己喜欢的学科。让学生有更多发挥的空间,创造口语练习的机会。

【学情分析】

七年级是学习英语的关键时期,这个阶段的学生活泼、好奇心和求知欲望强。比如像本课所涉及的有关学科的话题是他们之前从未接触过的,因此,他们渴望用英语来表达。另外,七年级学生的心理特点反映在学习英语的能力上,他们记忆的能力特别强。

【教学目标】

用具体、明确、可操作的行为语言,描述本课的知识与技能、过程与方法、情感态度与价值感等方面的教学目标。

Knowledge Objectives:

1. Be able to master the pronunciation, meaning and spelling of subjects: favorite, subject, P.E, science, music, math, Chinese, geography, history

2. Be able to talk about ones favorite subject and give reasons by using “Whats your favorite subject?  My favorite subject is ...”

Ability Objectives :

1.Be able to talk about ones favorite subject and give reasons;

2.Be able to role-play Ambassadors;

3.Be able to guess and have a try, act out.

4.Be able to make school timetable.

Moral Objectives :

1.Improve the cooperative spirit through pair work and role play.

2.Care more about yourself and others health, enhance relationships of each other.

3.If you want to be successful, you should learn all subjects well, not only your favorite subject.

【情感態度与价值观】

【教学重点】

2.Master the expressions: “Whats your favorite subject?  My favorite subject is ...”

1.Students may find it difficult to remember all the target new words and sentences in the class.

2.Students may find it difficult to express the certain expressions because of their limited experience.

【课时安排】6课时

【教学过程】

第一课时

这是教学设计的主体部分。分几个环节具体说明教学活动的安排,包括学生学习活动、教师指导活动、师生交互活动。

Step 1  Warming up

Greet students by asking them: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to meet you. Are you happy today? Yeah, I am very happy to see all of you here.First of all, lets have a chant, “I say A and you say art; A, art! A, art! I say M and you say math; M, math ! M, math !”

设计说明:通过师生间的问候,有趣而生动的热身活动能够拉近彼此的距离,激起孩子们对今天要讲的新内容产生兴趣,利于学生注意力的集中,增强学生的积极性,使学生快速融入英语课堂, 并以此来导入本节课学科名词的学习。

Step 2  Presentation

1.New words

T:First of all, I will show Ss some books, such as art, math and history, they are subjects. And ask students to look at the pictures, can you tell me what subjects they are ?

Ss:They can get the information of subjects, as follows: P.E, science, music, math, Chinese, geography, history, art, English.

2.Find the mistakes of some words

Please pay attention to these words, ask Ss to point out the mistakes and correct them.

設计说明:通过实物展示来导入一些有关学科的单词,以此来加深学生们学习这些单词的印象,紧接着又设置词汇陷阱,让学生们来找出相应单词的错误并纠正这些单词,自然水到渠成的更加加深学生们学习这些学科单词的印象,并为之后的知识输入做好铺垫。

Step 3  work on 1a

1.Look at the picture on P49, please match the words with the pictures.

2. Choose one volunteer to check the answers on the screen.

设计说明:通过任务型学习方式来引导学生完成书中1a的内容,能够让学生在复习旧知的同时,习得新知,再找学生配合对答案的方式,学生们的印象会更加深刻,进一步提高了学习英语的兴趣,通过小组之间的合作配合,增强了学生间的合作,团队能力。

Step 4  work on 1b

Lead-in: Today, some ss are talking about some subjects, what subjects are they talking? Do you want to know? Now, lets listen and circle the subjects you hear in 1a.

2. Now lets check the answers together.

设计说明:通过听力练习,提高学生的综合能力,两遍的听力练习,给学生创设听力的语言环境,有输入才有输出。

Step 5  Activity 1 ( Making school timetable )

1. Show a picture of school timetable on the blackboard.

2. Let Ss use English to finish the school timetable or design their own favorite school timetable on the paper.

3. At the same time, ask some Ss to show their results in English.

设计说明:通过学生们亲手制作课程表并用英语表达出来他们喜欢的科目,让学生掌握和巩固了关于学科的单词,他们可以在这个过程中有很大的收获,不仅仅加强了小组之间合作能力,而且加强了他们的动手操作能力,英语表达能力。

Step 6  Pair-work ( Work on 1c )

T:  My favorite subject is music. What about you? Whats your favorite subject?

S:  My favorite subject is...

T:  Whats Toms/ Marys favorite subject?

S:  His/ Her favorite subject is...

Now talk about your/ his/her favorite subject.

设计说明:七年级的学生表演欲望强,所以,在结对练习中,表现活跃,激发学生的参与性,扩大参与面,使更多的学生开口说英语。

Step 7  Activity 2 ( Group work )

Ambassadors expedition  (大使出征)

1. Choose one ambassdor in each group. ( 每个小组选出一名大使)

2. First of all, the ambassador please know about their group teammates and then go to another group to ask for information. (这名大使首先了解本组成员的信息,之后到其他组询问信息)

3. Make a report in your own group. (在本组内汇报询问情况)

4. Choose some volunteers to make a report in front of the whole class.

设计说明:通过大使出征这个活动,充分调动全班学生对英语学习的兴趣,让学生在操练中巩固本节课的目标语言,达到不同程度的语言输出效果,并做成过汇报,进一步提高了小组间的沟通合作精神。

【总结】

Ask students to summarize what we have learned and then read new words, phrases and sentences together.

【作业】

1.Review new words and key sentences of this class.

2. If you can, make a report about your classmatesfavorite subject/food/sport/color and so on.

设计说明:布置分层作业让不同程度的学生根据自己的能力完成相应的作业。
