多面孔的“厕所”表达法

在日常生活中，我们询问厕所在哪儿，一般会这样表达：Where is the toilet?和Where is the WC?句中的toilet和WC表示厕所的意思。除此之外，欧美人还会使用哪些词呢？

1.lavatory是个比较客气的词。如：Is there any lavatory in this building?（这座楼里有厕所吗？）

2.bathroom是书面语。如：She washed the bathroom with lots of soap and hot water.(她用了大量肥皂和热水打扫浴室。)

3.restroom常用于美国英语。如：Can I go to the restroom?(我能去洗手间吗？)

4.loo是一个口语词，在英国用得很普遍，主要指私人住宅中的厕所。如:I need to go to the loo.(我要上厕所。)
