教材分析:

教学内容为人教版新目标英语七年级上册第七单元Section A .本课是第七单元《How much are these socks》的第一课时。

教学目标: 1.知识与技能:掌握新单词socks, T-shirt, big, small ...

熟练运用How much 、Can I help you?

2.过程与方法:通过多媒体课件、小组合作、表演等形式调动学生学习的积极性。

3.情感、态度与价值观:通过本课的学习,学生能够运用英语表达询问衣服价格,同时进行情感教育,进行合理消费,理解父母工作的艰辛,增进对父母的尊重和理解。

教学重点:

1.How much are the / these / those +复数名词?2.能正确运用购物对话。

教学难点:

掌握句型 Whats the price of + sth? How many 和How much 的区别。

教学过程:

Warm-up

T: We all like colors, because they make our life more beautiful.

Before this lesson, sing a song: Color Song(和学生一起唱,一边唱一边拍手,使课堂气氛活跃起来,缓解学生紧张情绪。)

Step 1 Leading-in

T: What do you like doing on weekends?

S1: I like listening to music.

S2: I like watching TV.

S3: I like playing computer games.

T:I like going shopping. I think most of your mothers are the same as me. And many girls like going shopping. But do you know how to go shopping in English? Now this class well study Unit 7 How much are these socks? Section A.

Step 2 Presentation

T:Look at the picture. This is my friend Mary. She wants to buy clothes for her mother. Lets introduce what the shop sells. List as many English words as you can on the white board.

Are you ready? Go!

T: Every group is great. Lets look at the new words. Read after me.

T: If I want to buy something, what do I need first?

S: Money.

T: Yes. This is American money. One dollar and ten dollars. This is Chinese money. One yuan and ten yuan.

T: Look at the picture. Whats this?

S: Its a bag.

T: How much is the bag?

S: Its 3 dollars.

T: What are these?

S: They are shorts.

T: How much are these shorts?

S: They are 11 dollars.

T: Read after me. long ,short.

Step3 Team work

(Divide the class into 8 groups) T: work in groups and discuss the following questions.

T: Each group chooses one student to do a report. Show the results in class.

Step4 Practice 1

Step5 Listening: Look at six pictures and then we shall listen to six conversations about them. Listen carefully and circle the picture of the article of clothing the person is talking about and write down the prices on the price tags.

Step7 Conclusion

T: Choose one task of the three. Then make dialogs about shopping. At last, we will choose the best group.

Step8 Sum-up

T: Give you a chance to sum up what you have learned in this class. (Then T makes a brief sum-up.)

Homework:

(1)Review the new words.

(2)Practice the conversations.
