新高考英语读后续写的六种结尾方式

俗话说:“All is well that ends well.”意为“结尾好一切都好”,可见文章结尾非常重要。读后续写的结尾点往往是阅卷老师的阅读体验点,是打分的关键环节。续写如果有一个精彩结尾,既令人印象深刻,值得回味,又大概率会争取到阅卷老师的高分评判。

笔者通过分析一些续写案例,初步总结出六种常见续写结尾方式,学生可根据文章实际需求灵活运用。

一、点题式结尾

点题式结尾,是指在续写文章结尾时用一两句话总结全文的主旨,升华文章的主题,以起到点明主题,深化文章中心思想的作用。此种结尾方式是最为常见也最为学生熟悉的一种,适合于文章主题非常鲜明的内容,如通过一个故事来歌颂友爱、善良、团结;或通过一个故事来吸取一个教训,如:诚信、勤劳、尊重等。

例1:2021广州高三联考

Nowwithsomechocolatesinhishand,theboy’s badattitudedisappeared.His face turned red with a surge of guilt welling up inside him.“Sorry,mum,but I...”his voice faded to a whisper.Before he could continue,the mother stopped him.She gave a soft kiss on his forehead and walked out of the room.After the incident,life at home was the same as before.The only change was that the boy never lied again.Whenever he thought of lying,the chocolates would flash before him right away.The wise mother had corrected her son’s mistake,not by blame or punishment,but through rewards.

解析:此续写原文是讲述一位睿智的母亲如何巧妙教育因打碎花瓶而撒谎的儿子,令其转变态度,改掉说谎毛病的。这是一个亲子教育类故事。续写结尾借助作者口吻进行文章主旨点题,即亲子教育应重视赏识教育,正确引导,而不是单纯地责骂或惩罚,主题鲜明,一目了然。

二、首尾呼应式结尾

首尾呼应式结尾是指续写文章的结尾与原文开头相互呼应。这也是一种在续写文章中比较常见的收尾方法。这种方式不仅能保证续写文章的前后逻辑一致,不偏离主题,而且能唤起读者心理上的共鸣。该结尾适合于原文开头给出了背景交代,或总结式开头的情形。结尾通过回扣原文,形成完美的闭环,使得文章内容更加完整,结构更加紧凑。

例2:2017.11月浙江卷

Wedrovethroughseveralstatesandsawlotsof greatsightsalongtheway.One day when David and I were enjoying the fantastic views in the setting sun,Mom stopped the car abruptly.Questioned what was the matter,she replied she had forgot to fill the gas in time and it was running out.We instantly shook awake our sleeping dad.Shrugging his shoulders,he went somewhere to fetch the gas,two empty tanks in hand.Meanwhile,we three put up our tent in the nearby field and had an amazing exploration experience.But for my mom’s absent mind,we couldn’t have so many unexpected amusing surprises during the trip.

解析:此续写原文是讲述一家人驱车外出野营,一路上因为母亲的健忘而发生的一些轶闻趣事。

I had an interesting childhood.It was filled with surprises and amusements,all because of my motherloving,sweet,and yet absent-minded and forgetful.此处作者给出了背景介绍:自己的快乐童年因为自己可爱又健忘的母亲而留有很多趣味的回忆。结尾处回扣原文开头:若不是因为母亲健忘,此次旅行不可能有这么多值得回忆的趣事。这种处理首尾呼应,内容完整,结构紧凑,保留了文章前后一致的逻辑。

三、自然式结尾

自然式结尾是指顺着原文思路发展,完成一件事,按自然趋势结束全文。不是所有的文章都一定要有高大上的主题升华式结尾。某些文章只是记叙生活中的琐事,或单纯讲述一件轶闻趣事,并不是要得出怎样的结论或领悟多么深刻的思想教训。因此无需刻意生搬硬套一个说教式结尾,而按照情节走向自然式收尾,倒给人单纯明快的感觉。

例3:2020年1月浙江卷

Afewweekslater,theboyarrivedhomefromtheuniversity.He missed his parents and the dog so much that he first gave his parents a big hug.When the boy caught sight of Poppy,he went rushing toward her and bent down to hold her in his arms,fondly petting her.Suddenly,the boy noticed the little dog.“Oh,what a cute puppy!Who is it?”The boy asked in surprise.His parents laughed cheerfully.“It’s Poppy’s new companion.He also welcomes you home”answered Mom.

解析:此段续写原文是讲述一位小主人去上大学了,家里的狗狗因小主人的离开而闷闷不乐。在家人为其增添新的小伙伴(puppy)后,小狗狗又可以愉快地玩耍了。

本文只是讲叙发生在一个家庭中的生活小插曲,并没有非常鲜明的主题思想,或得出什么经验教训。因此只需按照情节发展,自然收尾。此处结尾写小主人回家看到小狗新伙伴的开心情景,其中的人物语言和情境描写非常自然,与原文文风非常契合。

四、反思式结尾

反思式结尾是指作者在结尾处通过一个心理活动的描写,进行反思或顿悟,从而凸显篇章的主题,对全文起画龙点睛的作用。此种结尾和点题式结尾一样,也适合于文章主题鲜明,通过故事阐明道理或得出经验教训的文章内容;它与对比点题式结尾有异曲同工之妙。

例4:2021武汉高三三调

PatrickgothisAs.The inspiring result was a little beyond his expectation.His teacher was pleasantly surprised with his rapid progress.And his classmates applauded him as well.Seized by a strong sense of accomplishment,Patrick went rushing home to share the joy with the elf.However,the elf was nowhere to be found.Suddenly it dawned on Patrick that everyone did have a magic elf in his deep heart and he just needed to wake it up for the good.

解析:此续写原文是一篇带童话故事色彩的文章:一个不爱写作业的男孩邂逅一只精灵,精灵许愿帮助小男孩完成作业。精灵通过巧妙安排,改掉了男孩的坏习惯,激发了男孩的潜力,帮助小男孩实现学业的成功。此处结尾描写了小男孩的顿悟:其实人人心中都住着美好精灵,只需要唤醒它,便可实现自己美好的愿望。该结尾使用的反思式结尾很好地突出了文章主题,升华了思想,提升了作文的档次。

五、留白式结尾

留白式结尾是指不用逻辑思维的方式直接了当地表达,而是描写一个动作,一个变化,后面部分留白,给读着留下一个画面、一片想象的余地,从而达到言有尽而意无穷的效果。此结尾适合于需要营造一定紧张气氛,故事情节需要留有一定悬念,以增强趣味性和思考性的文章。

例5:2016.10月浙江卷

Itwasdaybreakwhenshewokeup.She found she herself could barely stand up.Her whole body ached.She struggled to her feet and dragged her feet through the high bushes.Suddenly,to her great joy,she caught sight of a raised land at a distance.Her spirits lifted up and managed to quicken her pace,forgetting all about the aches.After several attempts,she climbed to the top of the high land out of breath.Just when she was catching her breath,she heard a loud noise.“A helicopter!”She desperately waved her arms,yellow blouse in hand.Eventually the pilot spotted her and down came the helicopter.

解析:此续写原文讲述一位女子因和丈夫吵架负气出走,在林中迷路,但最后安全得救的故事。此处结尾采用的是留白式:飞行员发现女子,直升机降落下来。但后续Jane得救了吗?心情怎样?与丈夫相见的情景是怎样的?这些其实都无需过多交代,因此此处虽戛然而止,却能留给读者更多遐想的画面空间。

六、借景抒情式结尾

借景抒情是指在文章情节叙述的最后转为写景,以景代情作结,使得短文“此时无情胜有情”,显得意犹未尽。此类结尾属于画面定格式的场景描写,情境交融,为文章营造契合的氛围,适合于文末最后需要气氛渲染以凸显主题的文章。

例6:2021高三上湖北期中联考

Ontheeighthfloor,Isawamanreadingabookin thedayroom,whohappenedtobeMichaelGoldstein.I slipped approaching him,slowly passing the wallet,breaking the message from Hannah.For a long time,he just stared at the blank before him,merrily,sinking in sweet memories in the past.Then,something like a smile wrinkled the corners of his eyes.Old as he was,he stood up and stepped downstairs swiftly,followed by me.In Hannah’s room,they hugged,tightly.Balmy breeze wiping my face,a sudden warmth just hit me.

解析:此续写原文讲述作者因一次机缘巧合帮助一对多年未见的老人安排重逢的感人故事。结尾将人物的感动心情与微风拂面的环境相结合,融情于景,情境交融,营造了和谐温暖的画面,令人回味,极大加深了读者感受。
