Abstract: During the Republican Period, due to the special population structure, females were capable of managing their families, participating in social affairs, trying to get educated, all of which showed their independence.On the other hand, they still depended on males, could easily be controlled, were vulnerable to male-dominated social constraints, opposition and punishment in such fields as education, occupation or family affairs.

Abstract: As the most typical representative of dragon dances in Jiangmen region, Hetang Gauze Dragon has developed a series of special artistic characteristics.It is modeled on the traditional dragon design, with high intentionality and symbolic features; its color matching reflects the typical characteristics of folk art as well as people’s pursuit of a better life and involves superb color processing skills.Meanwhile, although it is simple in materials, the process is complex and sophisticated.Also, Hetang dragon dance is special and varied in styles, and although its connotation has undergone great changes, it is still a reflection of the traditional cultural thoughts and is rich in traditional cultural spirit.

Abstract: Sun Yat-sen University Library houses eight volumes ofRiZhiLuwith large amounts of commentaries by Chen Li, a famous scholar of Lingnan region in the late Qing dynasty.The commentaries are of distinctive features:In terms of content, the commentator combined direct judgment, comments on real life and supplementary comments.In addition, the differentiation and analysis, refutation and questioning, corrections and additions, and the annotation of pronunciation and meaning are also distinctive.It can be seen from the comments that Chen Li was influenced by Gu Yanwu’s academic thought of the pursuit of“knowledge of practical use to society.”

Abstract: Influenced by Shen Zengzhi, Rao Zongyi conducted extensive and in-depth research on Taoism.On the one hand, Rao Zong-yi paid close attention to the Taoist documents unearthed in Chu region and at Dunhuang grottoes; on the other hand, he also had a deep understanding of the Taoist documents handed down from ancient times.Although Rao’s Taoist study started from specific literature, it was not confined to the literature and Taoism itself.From a cultural perspective, he discussed the relationship between Taoism and other religions in ancient China and the relationship between religions and other disciplines with the help of Taoist literature.As a result, Rao Zongyi’s study of Taoism have distinct characteristics.

Abstract: In ancient China, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was a part of Lingnan region.In this vast area, the literati in the Ming and Qing Dynasties used literary devices to record its busy overseas trade, broad international perspectives, and unique local customs, as well as the development and evolution of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Their works contain rich historical and cultural information.The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area belongs to the Lingnan culture circle with rich historical and cultural resources the organization of which can lay a solid cultural foundation for the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

MutualAid,EnlightenmentandAnxiety——The Living Circumstances of Writers in Hong Kong Novels from 1940 to 1960

Abstract: This article looks back at the fiction creation in Hong Kong during the 1940-1960 period.It analyzes the images of the writers in the three novels ofPoorLaneby Lu Lun,TheSunIsDownby Shu Xiangcheng, andTheDrunkardby Liu Yizhen.From 1940 to 1960, a hybrid and inclusive culture emerged in Hong Kong that integrated the ideological tradition of liberalism, a prosperous port and commercial culture, and the ideas from left to middle and right wings.The images of the three writers in the novels retain the fine moral character of the traditional Chinese cultural personality, such as integrity and thoughtfulness, and maintain the value standpoint that the intellectuals should be independent of the mainstream society of Hong Kong.Meanwhile, they also adjust themselves to adapt to the society to varying degrees.Their existential distress and exploration approaches are typical of the region and their times, reflecting the difficult process of intellectual writers establishing their self-identity consciousness in the modernization and commercialization process of Hong Kong from 1940 to 1960.

Abstract:TheSacredEdictscomprises three parts: foreword, table of contents and texts.The Huiyao version and the Geben version oftheSacredEdictsare composed of foreword, summary, table of contents and texts.Both the foreword by Emperor Yong Zheng and the abstracts authorized by Emperor Qian Long reflect the will of the supreme rulers of the Qing Dynasty.Due to writing, deleting and rewriting, the summary of the existential texts are different in wording.In connection with the tradition of modeling on the ancestors of the Qing royal family,thewritingoftheSacredEdictsonTheCompleteLibraryoftheFourTreasuriesreveals the extraordinary principle of learning serving politics.

Abstract: The inscription on the precipice at the Lingyan Temple located in Lueyang County, Shaanxi Province, is a national cultural relic under key protection.And the Stele Inscription on Ode to Teacher’s Ethics by Quan Deyu of the Tang Dynasty is an important relic of the temple which is recorded in various collections of documents.On the basis of an investigation made from the perspectives of the sources of the stone inscriptions, the geographical backgrounds, and the content of the inscriptions, it can be safely concluded that the Stele Inscription on Ode to Teacher’s Ethics is a fake.And the counterfeiter should be a man who had a shallow understanding of history and inscriptions and whose purpose was to glorify his hometown during the late Qing Dynasty or the Republic of China period.

Abstract: SWOT theory is used to analyze E-commerce in rural areas in the context of cross-border E-commerce and based on the dynamic equivalence theory, the demand and supply of English translation in industrial development is investigated.The theoretical analysis shows that capital investment and talent training are the main approaches to improving enterprises’ business English translation ability, and are also the core factors relating to the development of rural e-commerce.On the basis of theoretical analysis, the survey data of six e-commerce comprehensive demonstration counties in Anhui Province are analyzed from the perspective of quantitative relationship between capital investment, talent training, English translation and rural e-commerce.It is found that capital investment and talent training can improve the English translation ability of enterprises and the improvement of enterprises’ English translation ability can significantly promote rural e-commerce.

Abstract: Singleness is a rational choice of individuals and there are three causes for singleness.The singleness probability function can be expressed by the formula.pdnc=d(w,m,r,cy,en).Singleness is closely related to personal wealth.Choosing to be single or to have a family is an individual’s choice to hold wealth reasonably.Urban families face the awkward choice of regrouping or returning to singleness; single people in rural areas face difficulties in getting married.Only the poverty alleviation policy of “economy + geography”can solve the marriage and love dilemma of the next generation in rural areas.The emergence of singleness is closely related to the imbalance of wealth accumulation.The reasonable improvement of social welfare and the proper tilting of wealth to the disadvantaged groups can reduce the singleness rate in society.

Abstract: When Western scholars classify Mencius’ compassion as a concept of sympathy, they are conscious of the differences between compassion and sympathy.For Chinese scholars, it is a misunderstanding for Western scholars to take Mencius’ compassion as sympathy.This article compares Schopenhauer’s sympathy with Mencius’ compassion, aiming at revealing the inner relevance of understanding the concept of sympathy between the East and the West, and analyzing the causes for the differences between them.

Abstract: To explore the divergence on the annotation of “se nan”(色难)in the course of over a thousand years, this paper investigated documents left from the Pre-Qin period,Han Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms and Wei and Jin Dynasties and found that the meaning of “se”(色)and “nan”(难)in the phrase “se nan”(色难)in later periods was the same as in the pre-Qin period.“Se nan”(色难)meant a look of embarrassment.Also,“se nan”(色难)should be followed by a comma, not by a full stop.

Abstract: OBE has a quantifiable, executable, testable and replicable “rational”framework, while art design is a kind of relatively“perceptual”specialty.Embedding the“rational”framework in the “perceptual” specialty can make the teaching setting of the course more scientific.OBE is implanted in the course Package Design to make the curriculum more suitable for the modern education mode, better train inter-disciplinary talent and provide support for professional certification.Through the reform of the course teaching and performance evaluation, this paper explores and studies the application and practice of OBE concept in the courses for the art design specialty.Practice shows the implantation of the OBE concept can effectively improve the efficiency of classroom learning, improve the initiative and enthusiasm of students, and greatly improve the quality of submitted course assignments.At the same time, it also provides some reference and experience for other professional courses in art and design.
