作为2018年哈尔滨国际冰雪建造节的主建筑物，本项目采用新型的复合加强冰材料，实验性地应用充气膜承冰雪喷射技术，设计并成功建造了高度30.541m，直径30m的复合冰壳冰塔（又名中华祥云塔），打破了国际冰壳21m的原高度世界记录。

通过建筑与结构一体化、基于性能的数字设计与找形优化，本项目实现了冰雪建筑材料、形态、空间、设计技术、建造技术等多方向的创新。

As the main building for Harbin International Ice and Snow Construction Festival in 2018, the project adopted new composite reinforced ice material, experimental application of inflatable membrane to ice and snow spray techniques to design and successfully construct the Composite Ice Tower (also known as China Xiangyun Pagoda) with the height of 30.541 metres and the diameter of 30 metres. It has broken the original world record of 21 metres of the international ice crust and has set a new world record.

The project has accomplished the innovation of ice and snow building materials, shape, space,design technology, construction technology and other directions through the integration of building and structure, digital design and form-finding optimisation based on performance.
