完形填空浅析

《普通高中英语课程标准（实验）》中明确提出“高中阶段要着重提高学生用英语获取信息和处理信息，分析问题和解决问题的能力”，这就要求学生要不断地提高相应的各项能力。同时，新课标还要求我们要注重学生的思想情感教育。而完形填空主要就考查了学生的综合语言分析与运用能力。下面，笔者就以英语周报上的一篇完形填空为例，简要分析一下完形填空的一些解题技巧。

The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had just finished a diffcult first day on the job.A flat tire made him 21_an hour of work，his electric saw quit，and now his pickup truck 22_to start. He sat in silence while I drove him home.

首先，快速浏览全文，掌握文章的大意，同时重点掌握文章中的who，where，when，what几大要素，为之后的解题创造良好的条件。以此篇文章为例，它讲述了“栽棵烦恼树，让它去承载自己的烦恼，而不要把坏情绪带给家人。”

其次，仔细阅读文章，根据故事情节的发展来选词。

1.从简单句就可以选出答案，这是设计最简单的一类题。如：

39.D.栽上棵烦恼树，回家时（如果有烦恼）利用（use）它（承载你的烦恼）。

40.A.烦恼变得不那么重，所以应该感激（grateful）。

2.通过前后对应的方法进行选择。在一篇完形填空当中，经常是就一句而言，很难选出正确答案，但如果你继续读下去，就会发现与此问题有关的信息的出现，这些信息往往会直接或间接地给我们提示，从而作出正确选择。如：

24.C.由后面的branches以及下一段中的my trouble tree提示可知。

31.D.下一段中的I remember hanging up the nignt before.为信息提示。

32.A.与前一句中的every night呼应，以及最后一段中的each morning也可以提示。

3.根据句子之间的关系。如递进、让步、转折、并列、条件、因果关系等。如：

35.C.由句意可知前后两句为转折关系。

在做题时还要注意时间的安排，一篇完形填空一般在10钟左右完成，否则就会造成阅读理解或作文来不及做。这就需要我们在平时的练习中，掌握技巧的同时要有计划、按步骤，由简到难地进行有针对性的专项训练。只要我们坚持不懈，相信我们的完形填空的解题能力一定会得到提高。
