怎样用细节描写为你的英语作文添彩

细节，即微小易被忽略的细枝末节。在初中英语书面表达中，同学们若能紧扣提示要点，适当添加某些细节，则可以丰盈文章内容，使表达更加生动。那么，如何添加细节呢？对此，笔者提出了几点建议，以期对同学们的写作有所帮助。

一、添加事例，增强说服力

正所谓“事实胜于雄辩”，在进行英语书面表达时，同学们若能借助such as，for exam?ple/ instance等词组列举事例，对句子进行补充和说明，则可以使抽象的内容具体化，从而增强文章的可信度和说服力。例如：

I am very interested in ball games.

→I am very interested in ball games，such as badminton，volleyball and table tennis.

我对球类运动很感兴趣，比如羽毛球、排球以及乒乓球。

There are many ways that can help us en?rich our school life.

→There are many ways that can help us enrich our school life.For example/instance，we can play more sports，join interest clubs and so on.

这里有很多方法可以帮助我们丰富我们的校园生活。比如，我们可以多做体育运动，可以参加兴趣小组，等等。

从上面两个句子不难看出，原句较为单调，添加了事例后，使所描述的内容更加具体生动，语意表达也更加清晰明了。

二、添加目的，增强逻辑性

在英语书面表达中，同学们若能适当地添加目的状语这一细节，则可以增强句子的逻辑性，使语意更加連贯，表达更加高级。 常见的表示目的的方式多种多样，可以用动词不定式作目的状语，也可以用in order to/ that，for the purpose of，so as to，for fear that，in case ，so that等短语引导目的状语。例如：

She works hard day and night.

→To realize her dream，she works hard day and night.

→She works hard day and night so as to realize her dream.

→In order to realize her dream，she works hard day and night.

→She works hard day and night in order that she can realize her dream.

→She works hard day and night for the purpose of realizing her dream.

为了实现她的梦想，她夜以继日地工作。

I took a dictionary to hold down the test paper.

→I took a dictionary to hold down the test paper in case it was blown away by the wind.

→I took a dictionary to hold down the test paper for fear that it was blown away by the wind.

我拿了本词典压住试卷，以防它被风吹

走。

分析上述两个句子可以看出，原句只是对事实进行简单陈述，给人以空洞之感，添加了目的状语后，使句子逻辑清晰，语意丰富，表达连贯。

三、添加情感细节，提高感染力

在英语书面表达中，同学们若能恰当地添加一些表示情感或情绪的细节描写，自然而然地流露内心的真情实感，不仅可以提高句子的感染力，而且可以触发读者的情感共鸣。例如：

I finally learned to ride a bicycle.

→It' s a pleasure that I finally learned to ride a bicycle.

很高兴我终于学会了骑自行车。

→To my great pleasure，I finally learned to ride a bicycle.

令我非常高兴的是，我终于学会了骑自

行车。

→I was really pleased that I finally learned to ride a bicycle.

我真得很高兴我终于学会了骑自行车。

→Pleasingly，I finally learned to ride a bi?cycle.

令人高兴的是，我终于学会了骑自行车。

→What pleasured me most was that I fi?nally learned to ride a bicycle.

最让我高兴的是，我终于学会了骑自行车。

显然，添加了表示情感的词汇后，原本平淡的句子变得生动而富有感染力，让读者从字里行间体会到了作者的欣喜、愉悦之情。

当然，添加细节的方式并不只有上述提及的三种情况。在平时，同学们要多归纳，注意表达方法的提炼和把握，从而提升写作的质量和档次。
