智泉大楼地处浙江大学玉泉校区内,总建筑面积24,500m2,主要功能为国家级科研用房。针对百年高等学府历史建筑保护命题与科研创新空间的拓建需求,设计结合了老校区的建筑文化特色,延续周围环境及建筑群的脉络。

地块内除了新建建筑,原有保留的3 栋老楼也将为智泉大楼使用,因此设计需要通过新建大楼将新旧建筑连成一个有机互动的整体,形成富有科学研究专业特色的、风格鲜明的科研大楼组团。整个建筑群环绕中心广场有机地联系起来,大楼根据使用要求可分可合,适应不同大小项目组的组合要求。

智泉大楼整体风格简洁明快,体量上丰富多变。通过把控现代的几何造型,创造室内外、廊上下的多元空间层次,消弭既有单体的硬边界。选用暖色陶土板材料,延续历史红楼的质感和肌理,辅以清水混凝土楼板作为留白,模糊了历史交接的印记,营造出稳重理性、质朴原真的外观。

生态景观系统是设计的另一大特色。智泉大楼的绿化不只是停留在平面,而是空间的、立体的。绿意随庭院、檐下、平台、连廊渗入空间边界,与建筑肌体在世代交替中相融为一个有机生命体。

设计秉持着“对话与共生”的营建态度,以低调介入的手法进行空间织补,在与古为新中延续校园的文脉精神。

评委评语

在既有校园中的增建设计呈现出一种难得的、彬彬有礼的姿态,从场地的布局、体量的组合、空间的尺度到结构和材料语言上都建立了与左邻右舍的协调关系,而这种多面迎合的策略又没有破坏建筑自身的完整性,简洁、质朴、开放、绿色,具有校园建筑的文化气质,在城市存量发展时代有示范意义。

The Zhiquan Building,located on the Yuquan campus of Zhejiang University,is mainly used for scientific research.As a new building on a century-old campus,the design needs to incorporate the architectural and cultural characteristics of the old campus,and at the same time form a context with the surrounding environment and the old buildings.

In addition to the new building,three old buildings on the site will also be used for the Zhiquan Building complex.Therefore,the design needs to connect the old and new buildings into an organic interactive whole through the new building,so as to form a scientific research building enclosure with distinctive characteristics of scientific research.The central square becomes the core of the building complex.The whole building can be divided or combined according to the user's requirements,flexible and variable,and can adapt to the special combination requirements of different project groups of different sizes.

The overall style of the Zhiquan Building is simple and elegant,and the volume is rich and changeable,in order to achieve a stable and rational architectural style.In the selection of materials,we use the warm-coloured terracotta panels,partly complemented by fair-faced concrete,to highlight the real effect of building materials.It not only ensures the coordination with the campus buildings,but also reflects the rigorous image of the scientific research field.

The ecological landscape system is another major feature of this project.The green courtyard is not only on the horizontal plane,but also extends to the three-dimensional space.Combining with the topographical characteristics of the site,the greenness penetrates into the space boundary along with the courtyard,under the eaves,platforms and corridors,and integrates with the building body to form an organic life.

The design adheres to the construction attitude of "dialogue and symbiosis",and uses low-key intervention method to supplement the space,so as to continue the cultural spirit of the old campus while bringing new energy to it.

Jury Statement

The design of the extension to the existing campus presents a rare courteous gesture,from the layout of the site,the combination of volumes,the scale of space to the language of structure and materials,establishing a harmonious relationship with the neighbourhood.Furthermore,this multifaceted catering strategy did not compromise the integrity of the building,its simple,rustic,open and green features,together with the cultural temperament of a campus building,make it an exemplary in the era of urban stock development.□(Translated by WANG Xinxin)
