[Abstract] Objective To explore the application value of tendon attachment point ultrasound in the early diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. Methods A total of 60 patients with ankylosing spondylitis in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2020 were retrospectively selected. These patients were selected as the case group, and 60 cases of health examination personnel in our hospital during the same period were retrospectively selected as the healthy group. All patients received ultrasound examination. The thickness of the tendon, the number of abnormal tendon ends detected by ultrasound, the number of abnormal items, and the abnormal sound image index of the tendon ends of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results The thickness of the right supraspinatus tendon in the case group was significantly higher than that in the healthy group (P<0.05).The number of the abnormal tendon ends and abnormal items detected by ultrasound in the case group was 372 and 500, higher than that (66 and 74) in the healthy group (P<0.05). The number of abnormal tendon ends and abnormal items of the quadriceps femoris tendon endpoint, the patellar tendon starting point, the patellar tendon endpoint, the Achilles tendon endpoint, the biceps long head tendon endpoint, and the supraspinatus tendon endpoint detected by ultrasound in the case group was significantly more than that of the healthy group (P<0.05). There were 500 abnormal sound image indexes of the tendon end detected by ultrasound in the case group, significantly higher than 74 abnormal sound image indexes of the healthy group(P<0.05). The ultrasound detection rate of tendon end thickening, synovitis, bone cortex destruction, and blood flow signal was significantly higher than that of the healthy group(P<0.05). Conclusion In the early diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis, ultrasound of the tendon attachment point is of high application value.
