Imagine waking up one day to find that youve lost the ability to speak. That was the case for broadcast journalist Jamie Dupree who has been reporting political news for Cox Media Group since 1989.

When you have three kids between 11 and 15， youre working as hard as you can to help your family. But he added， “Life hasnt changed that much. I still read and read and read and read. The biggest change is that it takes longer for me to collect my radio stories.”

Meanwhile， Dupree is preparing to cover the presidential election. “The plan for this year is exactly the plan for 2016 and every campaign back to 1992，” Dupree said. “Get out on the road to follow the campaign in a variety of states， and go to the political conventions.
