Supernatural Phenomenon
I like to see US TV series, most are telling about the supernatural phenomenon, like the vampire, ghost and so on. The plots are so attractive, I start to wonder if there is ghost or vampire in the world. As the science cant explain everything, still there are a lot of weird phenomenon remain people to research, some people believe there is other space besides the earth. They believe the ghost is invisible, when people die, their soul get out of their bodies and then exist with human being. Now I believe in science, there exists no ghost, it is peoples imagination. Long before ago, our ancestors made up the stories, they are the part of the history myths, as the time went by, more and more read the stories and believe what they said are true. The unknown phenomenon will be explained by the scientists one day.
Happy Father's Day
Today is the father's dayI want to buy a gift for my dad.
I was at the shopping mall and I spent a lot of time reading the Father's Day cards. They all had a special message that in some way or another reflected how I feel about you. Yet as I selected and read and selected and read again it occurred to me that not a single card said what I really want to say to you.
You'll soon be 42 years old Dad and you and I will have had 55 Father's Days together. I haven't always been with you on Father's Day nor have I been with you for all of your birthdays. It wasn't because I didn't want to be with you. I've always been with you in my heart but sometimes life gets in the way.
Happy Father's Day my dear dad.
“中國问题”怎么看(节选)
Patriotism is a kind of sincere love and deep feelings of one's own country. It is one of the most primitive feelings of a person. George William Curtis said: A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle; and patriotism is loyalty to that principle. This is not only a principle but also the mission, the goal, the duty of every Chinese citizen including us, Chinese teenagers. Although, our ancient China was just like a large ship stranded, although it was heavy, although it was slow, it still advances. A person without a soul and a dream is destined to be hopeless; a team without leaders is doomed to fail, and a country that is not united will surely perish. So who can save the country and the people that in suffering, yes, we are! We are the one can save those people; we are the one can contribute to the country; we are the one can write a great history of the future. From now on, we should face the world with our pride, cause one day, we will stand in the center of the golden stage and we will proudly say: "I am Chinese!" . We always believe that Chinese youth may not be the best, but they will definitely stick to the end!
Lighten the Burden on Students
I am a high school student. I am very disappointed not to be able to go to see a film with my friends to play my favorite musical instrument or to watch TV with my family in the evening. I have to sit at desk and do my homework which cannot be finished until midnight I'm tired of doing much homework get bored at taking so many exams and lose interest in studying.
Teachers please get rid of homework and examinations. Examinations are nothing but anxiety-makers. Homework is nothing but interest-killers.
Teachers we can learn more outside the classroom. Classroom gives us limited kinds of information. We can only learn some dead knowledge from the books. Teachers please let us free and let us learn more outside the classroom from the environment from TV from private study or from our friends.
My dear teachers can you hear me? Please lighten the burden on students.
The Future of the Dialects (Excerpts)
When talking about dialects, it seems so far away from most of us, because we mainly use Putonghua to communicate with others. Its weird to see a person pop up with dialects when answering questions in class. But the recordings we just played were all from the students around us. They used the dialects of their hometown, which we dont normally hear during daily life. It can be said that the dialect of each place has its own charm. Dialects contain the attitude of local people towards life and show us the cultural diversity in all aspects. Nowadays, dialects represent the most fashionable cultural events in the most fashionable way.
One country One China!
"Just after class, I discussed Hong Kong with an American classmate. The direct impact on me is that the original media from different standpoints can shape such extreme individual values, both at home and abroad. Different cultural environments shape different pursuits and concepts, which naturally lead to conflicts, which are inevitable and inevitable. I just hope that I can respect and learn everyone's views after I have a comprehensive and objective understanding of the events. Respect for others is a condition of respect." This is the circle of friends that Mr. Zhang Jiulin, who just graduated, shared on August 27. It is also a true portrait of our study abroad life a year later. Faced with the diverse voices and complex views on the international stage, it is our duty and mission to adhere to "one China" and let the world know the real China.
"One China" is not only the political principle of the country, but also the feelings we should have. This sentiment is that when Hong Kong returned to China in 1997, after 16 rounds of negotiations, we insisted on the bottom line of raising the Chinese flag at 0:00:0 on July 1; in 2008, Chinese students came forward and held the national flag in spite of the courage of Western forces to obstruct the Olympic torch relay; and in August this year, Global Times reporter Fu Guohao was surrounded by Hong Kong thugs. After blocking, he said, "I support the Hong Kong police. You can hit me!" The bottom gas.
The nail-in-the-wall fact of "One China" has already been deeply impressed in our minds. As foreign students, when we go abroad to deal with various problems and voices, how to correctly express, how to safeguard national sovereignty and national dignity? This is a question worth pondering. Faced with the misunderstanding of China by overseas public opinion and the reversal of black and white by the rioters in Hong Kong, a group of aspiring young people have set an example. On August 17, Vancouver students obtained permission to march through the City of Vancouver. They spontaneously organized "Love China, Love Hong Kong, Anti-Hong Kong Independence, Anti-Violence" activities. From Canada to Britain, from Germany to Australia, the baton to safeguard national dignity stops one by one among the students studying abroad. You are in a foreign country, but you all love the same China.
In addition to the patriotism of advocating "one China", we should understand that in contemporary China, young people can do more widely. Zhao Min, a graduate of Flinders University, said after taking an American plane to rescue people, "As the only Chinese passenger on the flight, I would like to tell everyone'I am Chinese'by action, and I would like to bring more unexpected warmth to the people around me." Roy, who studied at Cornell University, was the only Asian on the football team in high school. Through hard training, he let his teammates lament that "there was no big difference between races in the original fitness thing." Roy said, "I will do better with the Chinese people's learning effort." Chinese overseas students are using their actions and excellence to change foreigners'impression of Chinese youth, Chinese people and even the whole of China as China's business card.
To let the world know the real China, we need to enhance our international competence. At the level of knowledge and cognition, we should master the knowledge of world history and culture, the common issues facing the whole world, deeply understand and use these knowledge to think independently; at the level of behavior and interpersonal, we should enhance mutual understanding and trust, resolve contradictions and conflicts, and at the same time, to human beings through effective communication and communication. We should have a deep understanding and full confidence in ourselves and national culture, and maintain an open and respectful attitude towards the diversity of different cultures and cultures, not only from the perspective of our own culture, but also from the perspective of other cultures.
We go abroad, although we are individuals, but it represents the whole of China. It is our mission to adhere to the principle of "one China", and it is our duty to tell the world what China really looks like through practical actions. A strong youth makes a strong country, and a prosperous youth makes a prosperous country.
Although we are individuals studying overseas, it is the entire China that we are representing. Insisting the one-China principle is our sacred mission, and expressing the genuine image of China is our immortal obligation.
Strong youths entail a strong country; the prosper of a country depends on its youths!
One country, one China!
Chinese Team
The coming October 1st will be the seventieth birthday of the People's Republic of China. I used to feel happy, frankly, just because I could have a holiday and see the magnificent parade. But this year is not the same. After reading Mr. Laoshe's fourth generation together, I learned that many junior high school students went to the parade team. The more I realized that it was not easy to build a country, the more I felt that I enjoyed the motherland too much, and did too little for the motherland. So, what can we do for our motherland?
As a student of ZIA, I suggest that every young Chinese student studying abroad should do two things. I hope that students can share with me.
First and foremost, we should always concern about affairs of state. Regard to this point, I believe on the one hand, a lot of schoolmates do better than me, and on the other hand some students would probably suppose that state affairs are far away from us and are too remote to concern about. Nonetheless, the truth is that our freedom from worry is based on the prosperity of our country, and we will be like dead leaves in the air when our country is dying. By knowing more about current events, we can have a relatively objective and comprehensive understanding of the international situation. In this way, when the country needs our support, we can also reach out and contribute our own strength. Even if we are too small to contribute, it can also protect us from danger to some extent. It seems that we need not think too much about the fact that the state affairs are very big and far away from us. But in fact, our carelessness is based on the prosperity of our country. When our country survives, we will drift in the air like dead leaves. Knowing more about current affairs will enable us to have a relatively objective and comprehensive understanding of the international situation, so that when the country needs our support, we can also reach out and contribute our own strength. Even if we are small and unable to contribute, it can also protect us from danger to some extent. Take the violence in Hong Kong as an example. If we know more about current events and the causes and experiences of this incident, we will not choose to visit Hong Kong or take the Sat exam, which protects our safety. More importantly, when our motherland needs our support, we can firmly demonstrate our support for the one-China principle and become the strongest backing for our motherland.
Second, another equally vital point is when somebody unintentionally or maliciously insults or denigrates our motherland, we should not swallow our pride, but confidently and calmly correct and maintain the dignity of the motherland. If we maliciously insult or slander our motherland, we should not swallow our words, but correct it with confidence and calmness and safeguard the dignity of our motherland. One day after the September 18th Incident in 1931, Tong, a Chinese experimental embryologist studying in Belgium, was riding on a tram the next week when a Belgian suddenly ordered him to stand up and offer his seat to another Belgian. Tong Dizhou asked him, "Why do we have to give up our seats?" The man said, "You Chinese are not promising, even the whole northeast has been given to the Japanese, and the child who occupies a seat feels a great shame this week. He shouted to the man,"No rumors."He raised his voice to announce to all the passengers on the tram,"Someday. At that time, the man took out his camera and looked at him. Tong Dizhou said with a heroic sneer, "Take a picture, sir, please write down that I am a Chinese. I want to say that your slander against China is unfounded. We are moved by the way Mr. Tong Dizhou defends his motherland. Nowadays, the motherland is getting richer and stronger. This kind of thing seldom happens, but there are still many misunderstandings and disputes about China's territory. In junior high school, my classmates and I went to a summer camp in England to study. The teacher held a knowledge contest. But when my classmates and I saw that Taiwan was treated as a country in the contest, I immediately raised my hand and told the teacher that Taiwan was Chinese. The teacher was surprised to say that he did not know about it. Then he said to us. I'm sorry. Although this is a happy ending, I believe there are many foreigners who do not know that Taiwan is China. If we encounter such a situation, don't be ashamed to point out it generously and with great courage. If the other party is not reasonable, we should not be polite, weakness will only increase the other party's anger.
Now we are senior high school students in the Ministry of International Affairs, and after going abroad, we really become the spokesperson of our country. My tone may be a bit like that of the veteran cadres, but I think all of you present here should do both. Every one learns, every one knows, so that the country is wealthy and strong enough to stand on the earth!
Yes! Tang Gang, a university student in the 1990s, has been working as a civil servant in the township for 20 years since he left the campus. He has been involved in land, construction, industry, family planning, health, urban management, transportation, political and legal affairs, party affairs, discipline commission, people's Congress and other work. Knowingly, he responded positively to various civil servants'questions and shared more than 20 years of rural experience on the Internet. In his view, this is to make a very small contribution to the motherland. If you are in the general public of all trades and professions.
