▲Go to lectures(讲座)

For the first 2 years of Oxford University,maybe I only went to four in hundreds of lectures.In my third year,I went to almost every single lecture,including those topics I was not interested in.My mind was changed when I actually went to lectures.

I found so many valuable lectures that influenced my thinking and passionate(热诚的;狂热的),knowledgeable speakers who made me excited about the topic.

▲Be an active student

For my first year in Oxford University,I hardly said anything in class.I didn't volunteer in discussions and,as a result,I didn't understand much.

Then,in the middle ofmy second year,Igot overmyself and offered more of my own opinions.I discussed with others,asked thoughtful questions,and interacted(交流)more.

▲Establish(建立)a perfect study environment

You need to findaquiet andsuitable place.It might be a library or a local coffee shop.My perfect study environment was actually the Oxford English buildingthat is quiet.

▲Study in small blocks

When you structure(系统安排)your study,the most important task is always tomake sureyou are rememberingtheinformationyouhavealready learned.That always comes first.

In order to improve your memory and remember more information,you need todivideyour tasksintoa few blocks.Don't study new information for hours and you should review what you've learned before you study each new block.

◆典句赏析

1.I found so many valuable lectures that influenced my thinking and passionate,knowledgeable speakers who made me excited about the topic.我发现了很多能影响我思想的、有价值的讲座和很多有激情、有学识的演讲者,他们的话题使我很感兴趣。

这是一个复合句。that influenced my thinking为定语从句,修饰先行词lectures。who made me excited about the topic也是定语从句,修饰先行词speakers。

2.When you structure your study,the most important task is always to make sure you are remembering the information you have already learned.安排学习任务时最重要的是要确保自己已经记住了学过的内容。

该句为复合句。when引导的是时间状语从句,you are...learned作make sure的宾语。you have already learned是定语从句,修饰先行词information。

3.Don't study new information for hours and you should review what you've learned before you study each new block.不要连续几小时都学习新知识,在学习新模块之前,你可以先复习一下已学的内容。

and连接两个并列句。第一分句是否定祈使句,第二个分句中包含before引导的时间状语从句,what you've learned作review的宾语。
