Position and content：

The first period of Unit 11 ，which is about the usage of the simple past tense .The tense is the basis of the whole unit .

1.Understand some phrases of this unit：

go for a walk ， ride a horse ， milk a cow ，etc correctly ;

2.Master the simple past tense and its rules ;

3.Try to remember irregular verbs ;

4.Try to describe the past .

Step 1.  Revision

What do you do on your weekend ？

I usually （do my homework/go shopping...）

Step 2. Leading in

（1）. Play the song 《Old Macdonald  Had a Farm》 to lead into the place----on the farm ;

（2）. New words and phrases

go for a walk     milk a cow    ride a horse

Feed chickens    talk with a farmer   take some photos

Step 3. Presentation

According to Carol and her friends activities last week ，know about the simple past tense.

A.含義 ：表示过去某一时刻发生的动作或存在的状态;表示过去某一时间段经常或反复发生的动作。

B.用法：动词变为过去式。

C.动词过去式的变化：规则变化和不规则变化。
