New Year Plans

A New Year begins and it is just the right time to make a plan. The followings are the plans made by my parents and me for the new year.

My plan is to study harder. It doesn’t sound interesting at all, but I know it will be the best plan because it is made by me.

My mother plans to learn how to sing better. She has always been interested in singing. I am sure the better she can sing, the more colorful her life will be.

My father has made an amazing plan. He is going to exercise more to keep healthy. I couldn’t believe it when I frst heard his plan. But I am happy, because everyone wants a healthy father.

A Survey

Nowadays, almost all students surf the Net every day. To fnd out what they do and how long they spend on it each day, we did a small survey a few days ago.

The survey shows that up to 80% of the students surf the Net every day. Most of them spend about an hour but some say they spend two hours or more surfng the Net! That is quite a lot of time!

For things to do online, most students like to listen to music, watch movies, play games or chat with friends. But we also found out that some students like to get homework answers online. I think it is really bad.

Without question, Internet can be a big help to our studies and in our daily life. But we should learn to use it in a wise way.

英语作文是中学生的一大痛点。很多学生在表达、句式和结构上都感到力不从心。他们在表达上有口难言，不知道该说些什么；在句式上捉襟见肘，总想不出可用、合用、会用的；而在结构上就往往顾此失彼，无法形成一个整体。

而本期的这两篇习作在处理上述问题时就做得相当好。

在“New Year Plans”中，小作者使用了一个总句起篇“A New Year begins…”，然后用三个分句“My plan is…”“My mother plans to…”“My father has made…”各自引出一家三口的新年计划。这在结构上十分清晰明了。

在句式上，小作者能够灵活使用不同的句式，既避免了雷同句式给人带来的阅读枯燥感，更表现了其优秀扎实的英语基本功。

在表达上，小作者也熟练地应用了“先否后肯（It doesn’t sound…but…）”“展开递进（She has always been…the better…the more colorful…）”“设悬念（…an amazing plan…I couldn’t believe…）”等方式去开展描写，使文章读来流利自然。

在“A survey”中，小作者均以一个精短的句子作为每段的结尾，如“we did a small survey…”“That is quite a lot of time!”“I think it is really bad.”和“But we should learn to use it in a wise way.”等。这既是小作者的个人观点，也是对每段的一个总结，非常有力地支撑起了全文的结构。
