广西南宁推出首张电子身份证Nanning Offi cially Released China's First Electronic ID

11月3日，南宁警方正式发布了中国首个电子身份证。在与互联网巨头腾讯合作之后，南宁警方还计划将身份证信息并入市民的手机。南宁市公安局与腾讯达成协议，在全市范围内推广电子身份证。通过官方微信公众号或官方南宁警方app，市民可以在输入个人信息和上传照片后轻松生成电子身份证。

Nanning police officially released China's first electronic ID on Nov. 3. Cooperating with Internet giant Tencent, Nanning police also plan to incorporate IDs into citizens' mobile phones.The Nanning Public Security Bureau entered an agreement with Tencent to promote electronic IDs citywide. By creating profiles on public WeChat accounts or via the official Nanning police app, citizens can easily generate an electronic ID after inputting personal information and uploading a photo.

据《新京报》报道，北京约90%的公交车预计在2016年年底之前覆盖免费WiFi。截至目前，北京市五环路内1.2万辆公交车已经正式开通免费无线。公交WiFi提供商负责人邱朝敏表示，“北京将会成为中国公交车免费无线覆盖最广的城市。”乘客需要下载名为“16WiFi”的手机客户端，用真实姓名注册认证之后，方可享受免费无线服务。

An estimated 90% of buses in Beijing offer free Wi-Fi by the end of 2016, according to the Beijing News. Free Wi-Fi is also offered on 12,000 buses within the 5th R ing Road that encircles urban Beijing. "Beijing has become the top provider of free Wi-Fi on buses in China." said Qiu Zhaomin, representative of the Wi-Fi supplier. To use free Wi-Fi service, passengers will need to simply download the application called "16WiFi" and register with real names.

Apple is exploring the idea of making iPhones in the US after Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election raised the prospect of a crackdown on American companies that manufacture abroad. Foxconn, the electronics giant that assembles the iPhone at enormous facilities in China, has been told to study how feasible it would be to move production to the US, according to reports in Asia. Estimates have suggested that the cost of assembling the iPhone in the US would only increase the cost of making the device by around $30, much of it in additional transportation.
