一、教学过程

Step 1 Lead in

1.Greetingsand havea free talk.

2.Listen and guesswhat it is.Revise the old words and teach the new words.

3.The teacher says a sentence and asks the students to guesswhatkind of transportation itis.

a—Itis likea bikebutgoesmuch faster.

—Amotorbike.

b—It is likea train butgoesunder theground.

—A subway.

c—Itgoes in thewater.

—A ship oraboat.

d—It takes you about three hours to go to Beijing from Shenzhen by it.

—A plane.

e—Itcan take people to themoon.

—A spaceship.

f—Itisveryuseful,youmay ride it to school.

—A bike/bicycle.

【设计意图】通过Guessing Game调动学生学习英语的积极性,营造氛围,提升学生学习英语的乐趣。

Step 2 Presentation

There are so many transportations around the world. Whatkind of transportation doyou like to choose?

How do you get to school/Shanghai/Hangzhou/London/ Paris...?

Help thestudentsanswer:

I take the subway/take the bus/take aminibus/take a taxi/take the train/take theplane/take theship/take the car...

【设计意图】通过对话引出本课的重点,即表示乘坐某种交通工具的动词形式。真实的环境有助于学生结合语境进行口语交流。

Step 3 Pairwork

Ask thestudents towork in pairs.

A:How do you get to school?

B:Iwalk to school.

Iride abike to school.

I take abus/car to school.

Itake thesubway/train toschool.

【设计意图】简单易操作的句子接龙活动可以起到事半功倍的效果。学生不仅可以准确掌握语言的表达方式,而且可以增进彼此的了解。

Step 4 Games

Ask the students to play games like this:

S1:Iwalk to school.

S2:He/Shewalks to school.Iride abike toschool.

S3:He/She rides a bike to school.I take a bus to school...

【设计意图】学生通过滚雪球游戏进一步巩固本课的重难点,同时练习动词第三人称单数形式。

Step 5 Listening

1.TodoSection A 1a.Look at thepictureand writedown thewayoftransportation.

2.To listen to the tapesand finish 1b.

【设计意图】锻炼学生的听写能力,加深对新单词的记忆。

Step 6 G roup work

Ask thestudents todogroupwork.

A:How do you get toschool?

B:Itake the bus/ridemybike/bicycle/walk.

C:How does he/sheget to school?

He/She takes thebus/...rideshis/herbike/bicycle/walks.

【设计意图】团队活动可以打破语言使用范围的局限性,尽可能地使用所学的知识点,达到学以致用,而且学生可以了解更多的同学的情况,加深同学间的感情。

Step 7 Summary and Hom ework

Sum up thekey vocabularyand the target language.

1.Copy thenew words.

2.Makeasurvey:How doyourrelationsgotoschool/work?

【设计意图】拓展学生的语言思维能力和表达能力,活学活用。

二、板书设计

Unit3How do you get toschool?(1a-1c)

1.take/ride the/a...to+地点=go to+地点+by....

2.walk to+地点=go to+地点+on foot

e.g.He often takes the subway towork.

=Heoften goes towork by subway.

注意:当home,here,there做地点时to省略。
