英语中多种表达“看”法

英语学习中会用到各种各样表达“看”的词，下面就表达“看”的词作一归纳，以帮助大家能更好地理解并正确使用它们：

1.see：vi看，看见，通用词，强调动作的结果，适用范围最广。

We haven，t seen each other for a long time.

我们很常时间没相见了

I see him cooking when I open the door.

当我打开门的时候看到他正常做饭

2.watch：vi 观看、观察、强调看的一个过程、看的时间长、强调连续性。

They watched an exciting football game yesterday.

昨晚他们看了一场令人兴奋的足球赛

Watch women doing their jobs.

观看妇女们做工作

3.Look： vt看、瞧、指注意或有意识地看，强调动作的过程。

Jim looked but saw nothing.

吉姆看了，但什么也没看见

Look before you leap.

量三思而行。

4.gaze：vi 注视、凝视、指因惊讶、迷恋、羡慕等

She fixed her miserable gaze on her parents.

她可怜地注视着她的父母

The boy just stand gazing through the window.

男孩站在那儿凝视着窗外。

5.glare怒视、强调愤怒看，怀有敌意或恐怖。

He stopped arguing and glared silently at me.

他停止争论静静地怒视着我。

A stropped golf was glaring at the hunter.

一只落入圈套的狼两眼瞪着猎人。

6.stare ：vi盯着看、瞪眼看、看得比较仔细、因惊讶、好奇、愤怒或害怕等，常和介词at， into等连用。

She stared Tom into silence.

她静静地瞪着汤姆

Donˋt stare at him like that.

不要像那样盯着他。

7.glance： vt 扫视、匆匆一看、指迅速而粗略地看，时间短暂.

Glance at magazine 浏览杂志。

She glanced up to see who had come in.

她抬头瞥了一眼看是谁进来了。

8.glimpse： vi扫视，匆匆一看，一瞥，几乎没有看到目击物或只看到一部分。

A glimpse at Beijing 北京一瞥

We glimpsed the famous movie star among the crowd.

我们瞥见电影明星在人群当中。

9.peek： vi 偷看；窥视，指从缝隙或隐蔽处看。

A naughty bay is peeking in through a hole.

一个调皮的小孩从小孔里向内偷看。

She peeked into the window when she walked in the street.

当她在街上走的时候往窗子里偷看。

10.peep： vi 偷看、窥视，指匆匆地且诡秘地或小心地看。

The people came to peep at her round the doorway.

人们围在门口偷看她。

11.peer： vi 凝视、盯着看，常指好奇心或可能是很难看清，因看不清楚而费力伸着脖子向前看。

The poor mother peers through the mist trying to find the lost child.

她透过雾眯着眼看，想找到丢失的孩子。

She peered at her friend，s face.

她凝视着她朋友的脸。

12.observe： vt 看，观察，注意到，通常表示一般仔细观察。

Jenny was observed to follow Mary closely.

有人看到珍妮紧跟着玛丽。

The police observed the thief entering the house with a gun.

警察看到小偷带着枪进入房子。

13.notice：vi 注意到，看到，含有偶然看到的意思，其内涵是看到目的物后要做出反应。

Did your sister notice my father leave the office？

你的妹妹看到我的父亲离开办公室了吗？

We noticed the thief as he left.

当小偷离开的时候我们察觉到了。

14.read 阅读，读懂，表示有目的的阅读书、报等。

I read an interesting story in today，s paper.

我在今天的报纸上读到一个有趣的故事。

My mother read my thoughts.

妈妈读懂了我的心思。

15.catch/ have sight of 发现，看出，指被看到的东西进入眼帘，而不是有意识地去看。

After three hours， they finally catch/have in sight of the village.

两个小时之后，他们终于看到了乡村。

She catch/ have sight of her old friend when she was shopping.

当她购物的时候发现了她的老朋友。
