模块六第一单元Project:Putting on a play的教学设计及思考

通过本节课的教学,我深刻体会了新教材的特点,获得了对新教材的一些处理经验:

一、整堂课的设计

本节课为语言运用课,主要是以两篇短剧剧本为背景,让学生通过短剧表演来体验英语学习的快乐。本节设计以“putting on a play”为主线,紧紧围绕短剧表演的几个部分(script(剧本) 、setting(背景) 、 director 、actor/actress等)进行。这几个部分中,引导学生理解剧本是最关键的。所以在展示《图兰朵》部分剧照导入PLAY的主题后让学生就“What makes a good play?”展开讨论。并且根据剧本内容设计表格,进一步帮助学生理解剧本:

通过阅读和讨论学生已收集了大量关于PLAY的要点,再让学生以小组合作的方式按照要求展示其作品。(Requirements:

1.Choose four groups by label to have a PK

2.Others act as the judges

3.Each group has only six minutes to prepare and act out the plays to the class

4.Choose the best group/director/actor/actress and report the reasons.

短剧表演时让学生依据剧本自由发挥。然后,小组探究剧本,思考以下三个问题:

Play I

1)What do you think of the children except Mike?

2)At the end of the play, Mike said, “No. I must have forgotten to tell you. ” What does he mean?

Play II

3)Why are the others unable to understand the King?

Suggested answers:

1)They are dishonest, insincere, hypocritical(虚伪的).

2)He wanted to punish them or make fun of them.

3)Because the king expressed his opinion in a roundabout (拐弯抹角的) way and he said that he wanted important papers, but the others would mistake them for some official documents.

最后,老师再带领学生一起回归课本,根据剧本内容联系生活实际,畅谈自己的收获。

Suggested answer:

The two plays have a similarity. Both the plays tell us a phenomenon(现象) in our society. A group of people around us are hypocritical (虚伪的)and proud of themselves. They save their faces at all costs, but actually they will suffer from their own actions. The playwright(剧作家)write the plays in an ironic(讽刺的) way. This kind of play always leads us to thinking, because they always reflect some social problems around us. Therefore, we should be honest, sincere and have correct and positive attitudes towards life.

整堂课有一个评分机制(Pronunciation(1) 、Fluency(1) 、Costume & prop(1) 、Team work (2) 、Acting(2) 、Feeling(2) 、Creativity(1) ),最后由评分员和班长宣布评分结果(the best group/director/actor/actress),并对其进行奖励。这堂课紧扣课题,先思考再读再表演延伸,最后讨论总结归纳,全程以学生为中心,为主体,注重学生对课堂学习的反馈。这样每个学生都参与了,并感受了小组合作学习的快乐。

二、预习案的设计

预习案中,设计了三个任务:

1)What do you know about PLAY?

2)Collect some pictures about PLAY.

3)What makes a good play?

通过完成预习案,学生思考了一些关于PLAY的问题,这样能带着疑问进课堂。

三、导入部分的设计

这一部分将导入与预习案紧密联系起来,及时检测了学生的预习情况又成功的导入了主题,为下面程序的进行打下了铺垫。导入《图兰朵》部分剧照展示的设计激发了学生学习的兴趣,让学生通过观察来发现短剧的组成部分。在最后一环节,再次由学生表演短剧。这样首尾呼应,整堂课有始有终。

四、教后感

1.在设计这堂课时我对旁白的处理方式一直犹豫不定:到底是补充旁白还是通过表演去诠释旁白?如果补充旁白会不会限制学生的表演,影响表演的流畅性? 毕竟表演还是一气呵成的好。最终还是决定通过表演去诠释旁白。

2.在教学过程中时间的控制和每个小组的发挥空间还有待提高。这是我今后努力的方向。

总之,新教材给了我们很多创造的余地也给了我们很大的挑战,我们只有不断学习和调整,争取以最好的方式去诠释新教材的全新理念。endprint
