ZTE Expects Sales Revenues from Enterprise Cloud Computing Products to Exceed$2 billion in 2011

On May 25,2011,ZTECorporation announced at the ZTEAnalysts Conference that it hopes to venture into the ITindustry by taking advantage of cloud computing.ZTE aims to pocket over$2 billion from enterprise cloud computing in 2011.Offerings will include datacom products,enterprise networks and servers,and storage products for government networks.

Gartner expects that in the global cloud computing market in 2011,the size of the PaaS+SaaSsegment will be$84.63 billion,and the size of the IaaSsegment will be roughly$6 billion.That means there is much space for operators to build PaaSand SaaSand to lease computing capacity and applications.

In 2011,ZTEhas demonstrated a clear strategy to venture into the field of cloud computing,and to treat cloud computing as one of the new strategic growth areas for the company.Building on this,it will venture into the ITindustry on a large scale.ZTEhas set up a cloud computing and IToperation division and has assigned more than 3000 people to develop cloud computing solutions.The company has an entire range of Co-Cloud solutions and has already announced a series of products and solutions that include a cloud operating system,SDPaaScloud deployment,and a cloud app platform similar to App Store.As of the end of 2010,ZTE had submitted 107 cloud-related patent applications in China.This makes ZTEthe leader in cloud-related patent applications among local companies.
