Weather的习惯用法

PEP《英语》四（下）出现了What’s the weather like in London?（P22），句中的weather有以下习惯用法：

1.以下两句都可用来询问天气情况，含义相同但搭配不同。如：What is the weather like today?/How is the weather today?今天天气怎样?

2.weather表示“天气”，是不可数名词，即使它的前面有形容词修饰，也不能与不定冠词连用。如：Cats do not like cold weather.猫不喜欢冷天。in all weathers意思是“无论天气好坏，无论任何情况下”，weather在这一习语中要用复数形式。如：Zhang Peng goes out in all weathers.无论天气如何，张鹏都要外出。

3.在表示“下雨”“下雪”等自然现象时，一般用it作主语而不用the weather作主语。如：It’s going to rain/snow tomorrow.明天要下雨/下雪。但是，如果表示天气的冷暖等，则两者都可以用。如：The weather/It is getting very cold.天气冷起来了。

4.under the weather是习惯用语，意思是“不舒服”。如：Chen Jie is（looks,feels）under the weather.陈洁显得（感觉）有些不舒服。
