This book is a compilation of interviews conducted by the Belt and Road research team of Nanjing University, which spent over a decade visiting scholars and cultural heritage inheritors in more than ten countries. Through visits with dozens of cultural heritage inheritors, this book discusses the traditional crafts of various countries, especially the methods, and characteristics of making ceramics, brocades, jade, and lacquered wood-bamboo crafts. It records the artistic lives of various masters, and reveals the rich historical experience and national wisdom contained in the traditional culture and cultural heritage of the countries along the Silk Road.
