英国国王生日酒会暨庆祝加冕招待会在渝举行

On June 8， the British Consulate-General in Chongqing held The Kings Birthday Party Celebrating King Charles Ⅲs Coronation.

Wang Yu， Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Chongqing Committee， attended and addressed the event. He noted that the United Kingdom is an important cooperation partner in economy， trade， and people-to-people exchanges for Chongqing in Europe. In 2022， the total import and export volume between Chongqing and the UK had been RMB11.7 billion， topping among European countries. And a large number of British companies with sound development， have invested and carried out business in Chongqing. In the future， it is expected that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in fields including the digital economy， modern service industry， and new energy. And enriched people-to-people exchanges will also be held in fields including education， science， and culture to promote better understanding between two peoples.

Stephen Ellison， the British Consul-General in Chongqing， is about to complete his post. He noted that the Consulate-General， since its opening in 2000， has been devoted to promoting the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in various fields such as digital transformation， modern service industry， energy， education， and sports. He believed that the new Consul-General would come to Chongqing with new efforts and ideas and continue to promote practical cooperation between the two sides as always.

6月8日，英國驻重庆总领事馆在渝举办英国国王生日酒会暨庆祝加冕招待会。

市政协副主席王昱应邀出席并致辞。他表示，英国是重庆在欧洲重要的经贸人文合作伙伴。2022年，重庆与英国进出口总额117亿元，居欧洲国家前列；一大批英国企业在渝投资兴业，发展良好。未来，期待双方继续深化在数字经济、现代服务业、新能源等领域产业合作；积极在教育、科技、文化等领域开展丰富多彩的人文交流，不断增进双方民心相通。

英国驻重庆总领事史云森即将离任。他表示，英国驻重庆总领事馆自2000年正式开馆以来，一直致力于推动英国与重庆在数字化转型、现代服务业、能源、教育、体育等各领域交流与合作。期待下任总领事带着新的活力与想法来渝履职，继续推动双方务实合作。
