My favourite insect
My favourite insect is butterflies, which are universally celebrated for their beauty and tenacity.
Once a beautiful butterfly, drenched by rain and unable to exert its wet wings, came into my sight. I placed it in my palm, trying to warm and dry it up. It remained motionless. Just when I was about to lose hope, it came back to life. After eventually rising abruptly to its feet, it circled around me for quite a long time and then soared up into the skies.
Delicate and vulnerable as it was, the little creature, actually courageous and tenacious, taught me a lesson that as life is the most precious, one should hold it in high regard and fight for it against all odds.

The person I admire most
Honorable judges, distinguished gu?
ests, ladies and gentlemen, I feel really honored to stand here and deliver a speech. The person I admire most is Yuan Longping, a scientist who was patriotic. At first, his parents wished him to be engaged in science and medicine. However, in order to solve the problem of food shortage, he chose to study agriculture at Southwest Agricultural College. After his graduation from college, he devoted himself to the field of agriculture. Thanks to his research, the rice yields have increased rapidly, for which he was called the “Father of Hybrid Rice”.
Yuan Longping is a great scientist who is worthy of our respect. What we can learn from him is the scientific spirit, especially the spirit of persistence. I hope we all will be persistent in the journey of our life.
Thats all. Thank you!

When I eventually arrived at the hospital, my dad was still lying in bed. The ceiling was tall. Light was streaming in. It was beautiful. But my dad was almost unrecognizable. He was thin and had really long beard. I didnt let my concern show on my face. Instead, I gave him a kiss and immediately started to cut his beard. His face lit up and let me take care of him in a way I had never done before.
At the moment, I promised myself that I wouldnt leave him until he recovered. For the next two weeks, I became his full?time caretaker. Every morning after we woke up, we had coffee together. I walked him up and down the hallway of his apartment, and accompanied him to see doctors. When he was depressed, I would try my best to cheer him up. Due to the wave of my energy and confidence, my father eventually recovered.

I love my class
It was last summer holiday and there were only two days left before the new term. I missed my friends and class so much that I decided to take a look at our classroom first. When I opened the door of the classroom, I was astonished. Dust covered desks, chairs and the floor; spider webs hung on the ceiling. I couldnt ignore it and decided to clean it myself. I grabbed a broom to sweep the spider webs first and the floor second, which made me ex?
hausted. The cleaning of the desks and chairs with wet rags was much easier, but it took more time. After nearly two hours hard work, the classroom was bright and clean again. Two days later, the surprise on the faces of my classmates and my teacher made me proud, but I would never tell them who did this.
I love my class and I am willing to do everything for it.
第二節
Rick was lost in thought. It slowly dawned on him that people he was angry at had done nothing wrong. His classmates who showed their new clothes and pencil cases to others might just want to share their happiness with friends. His teacher did blame him because he was being a problem. And his schoolmates father was just trying to help him correct his mistakes. They had no intention to hurt him, but he just let his unreasonable anger consume him and hurt them. How ridiculous he had been!
Rick knew it was time to change. From then on, Rick tried his best to control his temper. Every time he felt he was to explode, he would walk away and ask himself why he was angry and whether it was reasonable to be angry. Then he would find his peace and laughed his anger off. Gradually, everyone saw a different Rick. He no longer shouted at others or threw things away. He chatted with classmates after class and complimented them on their new clothes and pencil cases. He even helped teachers carry books before class sometimes. Ricks change surprised everyone and they all felt happy for him.
