The Founding and Aborted Succession of “Pekin Café”in Sydney
(Su Ming-xian)
Abstract:The success and development of Chinese Australian enterprises in the early period relied not only on founders’capital and efforts, but also on the orderly succession to the next generations.Under the “White Australia” policy, access of Chinese to Australia was strictly restricted, and Chinese merchants could only arrange for their children to study in Australia and then try to recruit them.Such a practice became an alternative way to pass on their businesses.Major shareholders of Pekin Café in Sydney in the early 1920s tried to do so,but failed.Due to the death of shareholders and changes in the economic situation,Pekin Café had to close down and the succession was aborted. The owners’children who came to Study in Australia were not allowed to stay, and eventually returned to China one after another.

Abstract:The Huang clan in Xiangshan County, which entered Guangdong at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and kept developing until the end of the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China period,is the longest-surviving literary family in Lingnan’s history. In the construction process of the family pedigree, the Huang Family Tree that had been compiled by several generations plays an important role. The compilation process and format of the Huang’s Family Tree reflect the identification and inheritance of the family spirit represented by the “Three Sages”of the clan, who started the pedigree construction, the establishment of the family reputation, and the inheritance of family tradition. The family spirit of direct remonstration, filial piety and loyalty and and scholarly devotion has been influencing the descendants of the Huang’s family.

A Study of Qu Dajun’s Hometown and Former Residence
(WANG Fu-peng)
Abstract:Qu Dajun was born in Xichang of Nanhai and later moved to Panyu. To verify the location of his hometown and the site of his former residence in Panyu is not only a search for facts, but also an understanding of the narrative perspective of some of his works. However, the academic circle has long been undecided on this issue. The most authoritative statements were Wang Zongyan and Wu Qingshi’s theories, but their are either vague or problematic.Through a detailed textual research,it can be assumed that the right side of “Tingquan Qugong Ancestral Temple” in Sixian Village of Xinzao Town was his former residence.Field investigation also supports this conclusion.

How Macao Literature Entered the History of Chinese Modern Literature
(DENG Wen-hua)
Abstract:The study of Macao literature started late compared with that of Taiwanese literature and Hong Kong literature. The research on Macao literature has focused on three aspects:the concept, history and characteristics.Macao literature did not enter the history of Chinese modern literature for a long time, which was not only related to the objective situation of Macao literature, but also related to the subjective perception of the writers of literary history. In order to enhance the status of Macao literature in the history of Chinese literature,on the one hand,it is necessary to form a brand awareness on the basis of self-consciousness,and on the other hand,it is necessary to spread it with the help of new media in addition to the traditional publishing and distribution.

On the Differences between Bibliographers and Litterateurs’View of Fiction
(ZHANG Hong)
Abstract:In order to enhance the status of fiction,Feng Menglong equated fiction with poems,fu,Buddhism and Taoism, and emphasized the “smallness” of fiction in a way corresponding to the grandness of classics and history. The General Catalog of The Complete Library of the Four Treasuries emphasizes the “talking” of fiction, and expunges literary fiction from the category of fiction on the grounds that it does not meet the requirements of its bibliographic style. However, the styles of fiction collected in the General Catalog were still not unified,so the classification of bibliographic fiction is still based on its “smallness”.Literary fiction attaches great importance to aesthetic value, while bibliographic fiction values its social function. It is futile to strive for a place for fiction on the grounds of its social function. The right way is to clearly put forward the aesthetic characteristics of fiction and emphasize that literary fiction is completely different from bibliographic fiction.

Gratitude and Martyrdom: The Image Shaping and Construction of the Righteous Cat Legend in the Ming and Qing Dynasties
(ZONG Shi-hao)
Abstract:In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,a large number of righteous animals and birds appeared in literary works,of which the image of the righteous cat is unique. The development and spread of the legend of the righteous cat in Ming and Qing dynasties was based on the social customs of cat-loving and the mysterious understanding of cats.In the Ming and Qing dynasties, the legend of the righteous cat has many themes,of which the two most prominent one are the “Gratitude type” and “Martyrdom type”,which were widely circulated in various versions of literature.Through the literature of the legend of the righteous cat,we can find that its image shaping is stereotyped and typed, which shows that some literati endowed animals with moral values in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and tried to moralize the legend of the righteous cat,“seeking loyalty and filial piety from animals”.

Measurement and System Construction of Coordinated Development of Financial Support for Rural Revitalization with Guangdong as a Demonstration Example
(CAO Jun-yong,ZHANG Le-zhu)
Abstract:This paper selects relevant time series data of Guangdong province from 2001 to 2019 as samples, adopts the factor analysis method to construct comprehensive evaluation indicators of financial development and rural revitalization, and empirically explores the coordination between the two.The results show that with the improvement of financial development, the coordination relationship between the two has gradually changed from extremely uncoordinated to uncoordinated, basic coordination and full coordination, but there is a downward trend.Based on an empirical analysis,it is proposed that a benign “vascular system” that financially boosts rural revitalization be built to ensure the supply of financial funds for rural revitalization and ensure that financial services are spread across every nerve ending in the countryside by building a “capillary system” with a view to putting in place a long-term mechanism of financial support for rural revitalization.

Adorno’s Aesthetics Commentary on Genius
(LIU Xiu-zhe)
Abstract:“Genius” is both an ancient and novel concept in the history of western aesthetics and literature.Plato’s theological concept of “Genius”,Kant’s naturalistic concept of “Genius”,and the Romantic solipsistic concept of “genius” all played a role in promoting the development of literature and art,but they also strengthened to a certain degree the initiative of the writer, and dispelled the object of creation--the truth of the literary works.Based on this,Adorno made a detailed investigation into the theory of “Genius” in his Aesthetic Theory, dialectically negated the traditional concept of “Genius”,and starting from the dialectical relationship between subject and object, revealed the true connotation of the “Genius” view, the salvation path of “Genius” and its effectiveness, and formed his own dialectical and unified “Genius” theory system.

Abstract:The smart contract is a self-executing code with electronic form as the medium, blockchain technology as the support, and the conditional sentence as the structure. For smart contracts that are used in practice of contracts, because they meet the constitutive requirements of a legal contract, they should be subject to the contract law.The smart contract will bring about many impacts on the current legal system, especially challenges to the legislative idea, modification system, liability system, and interpretation practice of the contract law.In order to effectively cope with these challenges, regulators should promote the dual combination of legal regulation and code regulation, and legal code and code legalization, and innovate the smart contract regulatory framework from three aspects:multiple participation, drive by data and principle strengthening.
