China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition Promoting Integrated Development of Tourism Between Chongqing and the Lancang-Mekong Sub-Region

From September 19thto 21st,the 2022 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition (the Exhibition) co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was held in Guilin,Guangxi.

The Chongqing Cultural Tourism Delegation organized 14 districts and counties (autonomous counties),i.e.Dazu,Liangping,Wulong,Nanchuan,Bishan,Hechuan,Tongnan,Fuling,Qianjiang,Fengdu,Yuzhong,Dadukou,Yongchuan and Pengshui,19 key tourism enterprises including Chongqing Wuling Cultural and Tourism Integration Development Co.,Ltd.,and 3 cultural institutions including Fuling District Museum,in total 36 delegations to participate in the Exhibition.

9月19日至21日，由文化和旅游部、广西壮族自治区人民政府共同主办的2022中国—东盟博览会旅游展（以下简称旅游展）在广西桂林举行。

重庆文旅代表团组织大足、梁平、武隆、南川、璧山、合川、潼南、涪陵、黔江、丰都、渝中、大渡口、永川、彭水等14个区县（自治县），重庆武陵文旅融合发展有限公司等19家重点旅游企业，涪陵区博物馆等3家文化机构共36家单位参展。

At the Exhibition,the well-designed Chongqing booth presented the unique image of A Land of Natural Beauty,A City with Cultural Appeal,through the appearance of the curved façade like stretching mountains and the ground like flowing water.There were cheerful Tujia ethnic hand-swinging dance and showcase from the inheritors of the intangible cultural heritage including Liangping new year woodblock prints and Yongchuan incense made of Chinese traditional medicine.The on-site sales and negotiations were carried out by exhibitors,while putting the local specialties,the exquisite cultural and creative products,gifts of the intangible cultural heritage and promotional materials on display.

2022 Chongqing Culture and Tourism Promotion in Guilin was held in the central hall of Guilin International Conference and Exhibition Center during the Exhibition.Qin Dingbo,Deputy Director-General of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development,said that Chongqing and Guilin share similar landscape and natural bond.The two places boast rich and unique natural resources,as well as prosperous culture and arts.Qin expressed his wish that the brand promotion and shared policies and customers can be advanced,so as to realize the development and prosperity of tourism in both cities and open a new chapter of culture and tourism in Lancang-Mekong Cooperation together.

In recent years,Chongqing has actively leveraged the location advantages such as a key junction of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt,an important strategic anchor for the Large-Scale Western Development,and the starting point of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.Chongqing has continued to deepen and widen the cultural and tourism cooperation with the five Mekong countries,striving to build a worldrenowned tourist destination shared by all.Following that,Chongqing will make full use of the international exchange platform of the Lancang-Mekong Tourist Cities Cooperation Alliance and will actively connect with the member cities to contribute to developing the integrated tourism and building a community of city tourism in Lancang-Mekong Sub-Region.

本届旅游展上，重庆精心搭建形象展位，通过群山绵延式弧形外立面、两江交汇地面流水型设计，生动展现了重庆这座“山水之城·美丽之地”的独特魅力。展区现场，土家族摆手舞欢快起舞，梁平木板年画、永川中药纂香非遗传承人精彩互动，各参展单位携地方特产美食、精美文创、非遗好礼、宣传资料等积极开展现场展销和对接洽谈。

旅游展期间，2022重庆旅游桂林推介会在桂林国际会展中心中厅举行。重庆市文化和旅游发展委员会副主任秦定波表示，渝桂两地山水相近，人文相亲，自然资源均富集而独特，文化艺术繁荣发展。希望渝桂两地进一步开展政策互惠、品牌互推、客源互送，共促两地旅游大发展大繁荣，共同谱写澜湄合作文化旅游新篇章。

近年来，重庆充分发挥“一带一路”和长江经济带重要联结点、西部大开发重要战略支点、西部陆海新通道起点等区位优势，持续拓展与湄公河五国文旅合作的广度与深度，着力打造“近悦远来，主客共享”的世界知名旅游目的地。下一步，重庆将用足用好澜湄旅游城市合作联盟国际交往平台，积极联动各成员城市，为推动澜湄次区域旅游一体化发展、建设澜湄次区域城市旅游共同体作出贡献。
