A decade has passed since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012. Over the unusual decade, China has continued progressing in various aspects such as poverty reduction, ecological conservation, technological progress, economic growth, public healthcare, and cultural prosperity, among others. All these accomplishments happened because ordinary people performed great feats. Each and every Chinese person deserves credit.
Chinese archaeological workers are among them. Thanks to their efforts, myriad relics have been exposed to the world as part of Chinese civilization, propelling the countrys archaeological cause into its “golden decade.” In this issue, we interviewed two archaeological experts and selected 10 ruins from the last decades winners of the annual “Top 10 Archaeological Discoveries” awards to provide readers with a glimpse of the evolution of Chinese civilization.
