China-Netherlands Friendly Art Exchange Event Held in Chongqing
On May 20th, a China-Netherlands friendly art donation and exchange event organized by the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chongqing was held at the TESTBED 2 Arts Center. Huub Buise, Consul-General of the Netherlands in Chongqing; Li Mingquan, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government; Deng Guanghuai, Member of the CPC Standing Committee and Vice District Mayor of Chongqing Yuzhong District, and relevant artists from both countries attended the the event to unveil the Netherlands artwork of painted cows.
In his speech, Huub Buise said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of China-Netherlands diplomatic relations. The two countries have made great progress in exchanges and cooperation in science and technology, economy, logistics, sports and culture, etc. The remarkable progress is reflected profoundly in our bilateral relations. More events on the artwork of painted cows will be carried out by Netherlands embassies and consulates in China. It is hoped that Chongqing people will enjoy the artwork of painted cows, and be reminded of the friendly, innovative, constructive and creative Netherlands.
The cow models were made with 3D printings using sustainable and biodegradable material. Artists from China and the Netherlands and visitors from the TESTBED 2 Arts Center painted on the three cow models, which will be sent to Chongqing FAO, the Yuzhong District People’s Government and Eling Park as symbols of cultural exchanges.
The event invited more than 40 people of Chongqing art community to attend its interactive seminar. They exchanged their insights on art, images in the public place and urban innovation. They also shared thoughts with the curator from the Amsterdam Street Art Museum online.
5月20日,由荷兰驻重庆总领事馆主办的中荷友好艺术捐赠和艺术交流活动在鹅岭二厂文创公园举行。荷兰驻重庆总领事包适,市政府外办副主任李明全,渝中区委常委、副区长邓光怀,以及相关中荷艺术家出席此次活动,为荷兰彩绘艺术牛揭幕。
包适在致辞中表示,今年是中荷建交50周年,兩国在科技、经济、物流、体育、文化等领域交流合作进步巨大,这些变化也深刻体现在我们的双边关系中。彩绘艺术牛活动将在荷兰驻中国使领馆陆续开展,希望重庆人民喜欢这些彩绘艺术牛,看到它们,就能想起友好、创新、有建设性、有创造性的荷兰。
此次彩绘牛模型是用3D打印技术和可持续生物降解材料制作而成,大小接近活体荷兰奶牛。中荷艺术家和鹅岭二厂文创公园游客共同彩绘三头牛,并由荷兰驻重庆总领事馆分别赠予市政府外办、渝中区政府和鹅岭二厂文创公园,以此作为中荷文化友好交流象征。
本次活动还邀请了40名重庆艺术界人士参与互动研讨会,双方艺术学者们围绕“艺术、公共图像和城市创新”话题进行了精彩分享,并与阿姆斯特丹街头艺术博物馆馆长进行在线交流。
