宾语从句变简单句五法

方法一:疑问代词(副词)引导的从句改为“疑问代词(副词)+不定式”结构。

如:①他不知道他应该干什么。

He didn’t know what he should do.→He didn’t know what to do.

②你能告诉我怎样才能到达动物园吗?

Can you tell me how I can get to the zoo?→Can you tell me how to get to the zoo?

方法二:把从句改为不定式短语形式。

如:①他希望取得大的进步。

He hopes that he would make great progress.→He hopes to make great progress.

②我预计会在星期天回来。

I expect that I shall be back on Sunday.→I expect to be back on Sunday.

此类用法的词还有:forget,wish,decide,order,promise(允许)等,在主句中充当谓语。

方法三:从句改为名词词组形式。

如:①我不理解你说的什么。

I don’t understand what you said. →I don’t understand your words.

②请告诉我,我们的英语老师住在哪里。

Please tell me where our English teacher lives.→Please tell me our English teacher’s address.

方法四:把从句改为复合宾语形式。

如:①我猜她大约20岁。

I suppose that she is about twenty.→I suppose her to be about twenty.

②她发现他是个好学生。

She found that he was a very good student.→She found him to be a very good student.

方法五:把從句改为现在分词形式。

如:①汤姆的爸爸看到汤姆正坐在鸡蛋上。

Tom’s father saw that Tom was sitting on some eggs.→Tom’s father saw Tom sitting on some eggs.

②我发现地上有一本书。

I found that there was a book on the ground. →I found a book lying on the ground.
