[Abstract] Objective To investigate levosimendan combined with sacubitril and valsartan in the treatment of senile refractory heart failure. Methods A total of 62 elderly patients with refractory heart failure in Department of Cardiology in our hospital from January to December 2019 were enrolled, with 31 cases in each group. They were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group. Both groups were treated with diuretics routinely. The observation group was treated with levosimendan combined with sacubatril and valsartan. The control group was treated with dobutamine and valsartan. The clinical symptoms at the time of discharge, the length of hospital stay, 6 minutes walk test (6MWT), left ventricular intradiastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and brain natriuretic peptide (pro-BNP) at the three months before and after treatment were statistically analyzed in both groups. The efficacy was evaluated. Results After treatment, the total effectiveness in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (71.0% vs. 58.1%), with significant difference(P<0.05). The hospital stay in the observation group was(10±2)d, which was shorter than that of (15±3)d in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05). After treatment of 3 months, the 6MWT between the two groups was longer than that before treatment,LVEF was higher than that before treatment, LVEDD and pro-BNP were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the changes of 6MWT, LVEDD, LVEF and pro-BNP in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Levosimendan combined with sacubatril and valsartan in the treatment of senile refractory heart failure has a positive curative effect, and it can improve the heart function and prognosis of patients.
