2021年是中國共产党成立100周年。

在庆祝中国共产党百年华诞的重大时刻，在“两个一百年”奋斗目标历史交汇的关键节点，全党集中开展党史学习教育正当其时，意义重大而深远。

正如习近平总书记在党史学习教育动员大会上强调的，“全党同志要做到学史明理、学史增信、学史崇德、学史力行，学党史、悟思想、办实事、开新局，以昂扬姿态奋力开启全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程，以优异成绩迎接建党一百周年。”

回望过往的奋斗路，是为了眺望前方的奋进路。开展党史学习教育，就是为了牢记初心使命、推动各项事业新发展，就是为了坚定信仰信念、进一步增强“四个自信”，就是为了推进自我革命、持续营造良好政治生态，就是为了提升干部能力素质、更好担当现代化建设的重任。

在中国共产党波澜壮阔的百年历史上，重庆这块英雄的土地，有着光荣的革命传统，红色文化底蕴深厚：毛泽东、周恩来、邓小平等老一辈无产阶级革命家在重庆留下过战斗的足迹，这里有红岩村、曾家岩、虎头岩“红色三岩”，在这里形成了光耀千秋的红岩精神……

从本期开始，《今日重庆》开设“对话初心”栏目，通过寻访红色遗迹，重温先驱经典诗文，我们跨越时空，与先辈们展开一场关于初心使命的百年对话。

Year 2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

At the important moment of celebrating the Centennial birthday of the Communist Party of China， and at the critical juncture of the historical convergence of the "Two Centenary" goals， it is just the right time for the whole party to focus on the study and education of party history， which is of great and far-reaching significance.

As General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized at the party history education and mobilization conference， "Comrades of the whole party must learn history to become rational， learn history to increase confidence， learn history to respect morality， and learn history to practice hard. Moreover， we should learn party history， contemplate meaningful thoughts， do practical things， and open new situation. We must strive to start a new journey of building a socialist modernized country in an allround way with a high-spirited attitude and greet the centenary of the founding of the Party with outstanding achievements."

Looking back on the road of struggle is to look forward to the road of striving ahead. The objective of carrying out the education of party history is to keep in mind our original mission， to promote the new development of various undertakings， to strengthen faith and belief， and to further enhance the "Confidence in the Path， Theory， System and Culture of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics". Furthermore， it is to promote self revolution， to continuously create a good political environment， to enhance the ability and quality of cadres， and to better undertake the important task of modernization.

In the magnificent 100-year history of the Communist Party of China， Chongqing， a land that breeds heroes， has seen a glorious revolutionary tradition and profound Red Culture： Mao Zedong， Zhou Enlai， Deng Xiaoping and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation have left their footprints of combat in Chongqing. Here are the "Red Three Yan" sacred places of Hongyan Village， Zengjiayan and Hutouyan， which are the birthplace of Hongyan spirit...

Starting from this issue， Chongqing Today will set up the column of "Dialogue About the Original Aspiration". By searching for red relics and revisiting pioneers’ classic poems and discourses， we will launch dialogues with our ancestors about their initial aspirations across time and space.
