[Abstract] Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Pediatric Tuina in the treatment of children with acute upper respiratory tract infection and fever. Methods A total of 100 children with acute upper respiratory infection and fever in children from June 2019 to August 2020 were prospectively analyzed and divided into the observation group (Pediatric Tuina treatment) and the control group (conventional treatment) according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The changes of TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment, the disappearance time of clinical symptoms (cough, runny nose, sore throat, fever), and the total effective rate were compared between the two groups of children. Results The scores of TCM syndromes of nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and cough in the observation group after treatment were (1.08±0.54) points, (1.31±0.23) points, (1.13±0.48) points, (1.04±0.31) points, respectively, which were lower than those before treatment, and after treatment in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The disappearance time of cough, runny nose, sore throat and fever in the observation group was (2.01±0.24) d, (2.38±0.21)d, (2.31±0.24)d, (1.24±0.24)d, respectively, which were shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 94.0% in the observation group, which was higher than that of 80.0% in the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Pediatric Tuina therapy for children with acute upper respiratory tract infection and fever has a prominent role in improving TCM syndromes and promoting the disappearance of symptoms. It has a definite effect and can be widely used in clinical practice.
