Teacher： Which is nearer to us， Germany or the moon？

Tom： The moon， sir.

Teacher： The moon？ Why do you think so？

Tom： Because we can see the moon， but we cant see Germany.

医生的嘱咐

Mr. Brown： Im sorry to see you so unwell（不舒服的）. Have you seen the doctor？

Mr. Smith： Yes， Im having three baths a day.

Mr. Brown： What for？

Mr. Smith： Dont you know its the doctors order？ He gave me some medicine and told me to follow the directions（用法说明书）on the bottle， which read， “One teaspoonful（一茶匙的量） to be taken three times a day in water.”

想一想：Mr. Smith理解的“in water”和医生嘱咐的“in water”是一个意思吗？他做了什么傻事？

一个男人和一条狗

A man walks into a shop and sees a cute little dog. He asks the shopkeeper， “Does your dog bite（咬人）？”

The shopkeeper says， “No， my dog does not bite.”

The man tries to play with the dog but the dog bites him. “Oh，” he says， “you said your dog did not bite！”

The shopkeeper replies（回答）， “That is not my dog.”

Two women are arguing（争论） about whose dog is smarter.

The first woman says， “My dog is very smart. Every morning it goes to the paper boy， takes the newspaper and brings them to me.”

The second woman says， “I know.”

The first woman is surprised（惊讶的）， “How can you know？”

The second woman replies， “My dog tells me.”
