CPAPD International Exchanges

CPAPD President Ma Biao Visits Austria, Czech and Portugal.At the invitation of Austrian Federal Council, the CPAPD delegation headed by Ma Biao, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)and President of the CPAPD visited Austria from April 11thto 13th.He met with the President of Federal Council Mr.Ingo Appe; held discussions with Austria-China Parliamentarians’ Friendship Group and experts from Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy and Austria-China Friendship Association.

At the invitation of Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, the CPAPD delegation headed by Ma Biao visited Czech from April 13thto 16th.He met with the Speaker of Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament Mr.Radek Vondráček; held discussions with First Deputy Speaker and President of Czech-China Parliamentarians’ Friendship Group Mr.Vojtěch Filip, First Deputy Leader of Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (Czech: KSCM)Mr.Petr Šimůnek and Governor of the South Bohemia Region Governor Ms.Ivana Straska.The delegation also exchanged views with experts from Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University and Association for International Affairs.

At the invitation of the Assembly of the Portugal, the CPAPD delegation headed by Ma Biao visited Portugal from April 16thto 19th.He met with the President of the Assembly Mr.Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues; held discussions with Vice President of the Assembly Ms.Teresa Caeiro and Porgugal-China Parliamentarians’ Friendship Group.The CPAPD and Chinese Embassy in Portugal co-organized a seminar themed by “Strengthening People-to-people Exchanges, Jointly Promoting the Belt & Road Initiative”.Mr.Ma Biao attended the meeting and delivered a keynote speech.The delegation also met with experts from the League of Portugal-China Lasting Friendship,Amigos Da Nova Rota Da Seda and Portugal Council for Peace and Cooperation.

CPAPD Deputy Secretary General Tao Tao Meets with Guest from Swiss PeaceNexus Foundation.On April 19, 2019, Tao Tao met with Mr.Jason Tower, Southeast Asia Regional Advisor of Swiss PeaceNexus Foundation in Beijing, the two sides exchanged views on issues of common concern, including friendly exchanges and cooperation between the CPAPD and PeaceNexus in the future.

CPAPD Deputy Secretary General Tao Tao Meets with China Country Representative of the AFSC.On May 20, 2019, Tao Tao met with Ms.Susan Fong, China Country Representative of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), the two sides exchanged views about future friendly exchanges and cooperation between the CPAPD and the AFSC, particularly, deeply discussed co-sponsoring the 9thChina-US Civil Peace Forum.
