The Fifth China (Quanzhou) Maritime Silk Road International Brand Exposition (MSREXPO2019), the 22nd Straits Textile Clothing Fair (STCF2019) and the 2019 Shishi Fashion Week were held in Shishi City, Fujian Province, from April 18th to 21st, 2019. There are 340 enterprises in 48 countries and regions along the “Maritime Silk Road”, and more than 500 enterprises in textile and apparel upstream and downstream, all of which are present at the three exhibitions. The three exhibitions brought new experiences, better business opportunities and more surprises to global businessmen, and further promote openness, development and win-win situation. As a well-known start city of Maritime Silk Road on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean and an ecologically livable historical and cultural tourism city in South China, Shishi is experimenting with the mode of purchasing trade in the national market to open the door of trade globalization.
Sun Ruizhe, president of China National Textile and Apparel Council, Weng Maozhong, vice president of Taiwan Textile Industry Devel- opment Association, Yang Jun, deputy secretary-general of China National Textile and Apparel Council, Jiang Hengjie, consultant of China National Garment Association, Yang Jian, vice president of China Fashion Association, and other industry leaders attended the opening ceremony of MSREXPO2019.
Huang Chunhui, deputy secretary of the CPC Shishi Municipal Committee and mayor of the Shishi Municipal Peoples Government, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Huang Chunhui said that on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean, 600-yearold city, ten miles of golden coast, ten thousand mu city park, this is Shishi. As an important exhibition window of Shishi, MSREXPO2019 and STCF2019 will continue to carry out the idea of “straits, scale, profession, leisure and fashion”. With the favorable opportunity of the pilot mode of market purchase trade, it will deeply connect the “Belt and Road” economic and trade cooperation zone, accelerate the expansion of emerging markets and international commodity import and export business, and promote industrial convergence, development and win-win.
Subsequently, Guo Yinghui, minister of the conference and exhibition department of the China Chamber of International Commerce, and Yang Jun, deputy secretary-general of China National Textile and Apparel Council, delivered speeches respectively.

With the theme of “New Maritime Silk Road, New Cooperation and New Life”, the exhibition covers an area of 26,000 square meters and 700 international standard booths. It attracts 340 brand enterprises from 48 countries and regions along the line of Maritime Silk Road. The following points are highlighted:
First, we should set up the concept of the first guest state, innovate the economic interaction mode of the exhibition, and invite Malaysia, along the “Belt and Road”country, as the main guest country.
Second, highlight the characteristics along the Maritime Silk Road and Quanzhou industrial advantages, the largest number of countries have participated in the exhibition. This year, the MSREXPO2019 has set up Quanzhou Maritime Silk Road boutique exhibition area, Quanzhou trademark brand hall, Maritime Silk Road Quanzhou cultural travel exhibition area, the main guest country boutique exhibition area, the Maritime Silk Road tourism culture exhibition area, the Maritime Silk Road national and regional boutique exhibition area. Among them, Maritime Silk Road national and regional exhibition zone includes 48 Maritime Silk Road countries and regional delegations from France, Korea, Italy, Japan, Australia, Russia, Indonesia, Mongolia, India, Pakistan and so on. A total of 340 enterprises have participated in the exhibition with clothing, household accessories, special food, agricultural products, traditional handicraft and other local characteristics.
Thirdly, the brand enterprises have made concentrative appearances, and the quality control of exhibits has been the most stringent in the past. Relying on the brand influence of the MSREXPO2019, the exhibitors include Samsung, Korea Ginseng Corp, Philippines Liwayway, LBO Winery in Bordeaux, Enrich Tea and Food Exports(Pvt) Ltd. in Sri Lanka, Japanese Mishima Food Co., Kaiser Trading Co., Saudi Arabia, Ltd and other international brands as well as pioneer brands in the subdivision industry.
Fourth, to light up Maritime Silk Road tourism and promote the coordinated development of culture and tourism economy. MSREXPO2019 has set up Maritime Silk Road Quanzhou Culture and Tourism Culture Exhibition Zone and Maritime Silk Road Tourism Culture Exhibition Zone. Among them, the Maritime Silk Road Tourism Culture Exhibition Zone has representatives from Tourism Bureau, Tourism Development Committee, travel agencies of 12 countries such as Germany, Canada, Japan, Singapore, China and so on. Representatives of four national tourism departments, Greece, Uzbekistan, Thailand and Japan, also participated in the Maritime Silk Road National Tourism and Cultural Industry Promotion Conference to further promote global cultural tourism exchanges and achieve coordinated development of culture and tourism economy.
