“睿豆睿豆,到我这里来。”樊清涛话音刚落,睿豆蓝色的眼睛便亮了起来,并朝樊清涛走来。在重庆高新区火炬互联网产业园,我们见到了身高85公分、长相萌萌哒的家庭生活服务机器人——睿豆。
作为一家初创型科技企业,重庆锐纳达自动化技术有限公司历时两年多,研发出了“睿豆”。虽然外观看起来萌萌哒,但睿豆却精通十八般武艺,兼具家庭医生、辅导老师、生活管家、安全保镖等功能。
“Rinddle, Rinddle, come to me.” After Fan Qingtao's voice just died away, Rinddle's blue eyes lit up and it walked towards him. In the Torch Internet Industrial Park of Chongqing Hightech Zone, we saw a cute home life service robot,Rinddle, with the height of 85cm.
As a start-up scientific and technological enterprise, Chongqing Ranada Automation Technology Co., Ltd. has developed Rinddle after more than two years of hard work. Although it looks cute, Rinddle is proficient in various skills and has the functions of family doctor, tutor, life housekeeper, security bodyguard, etc..
Solving the Pain Point Problems of Two Groups of People
2016年,曾在三家上市企业做过职业经理人的樊清涛发现,人工智能和机器人行业正在崛起,“不管是工业机器人、特种机器人,还是家用的扫地机器人,人们对机器人的认知度正在不断提高,应用也变得更加广泛。”
当年3月,在江北区港城工业园一间办公室里,樊清涛与另外三位创始人共同创办了重庆锐纳达自动化技术有限公司,并将创业方向从传统流通业转向了机器人。
“消费者的刚性需求在哪里?现代技术是否能够实现和满足需求?”公司成立后,担任CEO的樊清涛,在不断思考机器人的功能属性,寻找项目可能的切入点。
当时,独居老人和留守儿童在家庭中的安全成为社会热点,一旦出现危机,很难及时向外界呼救,而市场上却没有针对这两类人的成熟产品。他意识到,这一领域将成为未来发展方向,具有极为广阔的市场前景。
确定切入的细分领域后,他开始在各地参加交流会议与活动,寻找合适的技术团队。正是在那时,他认识了复旦大学机器人智能实验室的张文强教授,双方在人工智能的应用方面有不少共识。
通过不断沟通,双方最终达成了技术上的合作,并于2016年6月正式开启了公司的第一个机器人项目。
“在医疗服务方面,我们通过与医疗平台的合作,实现了‘7×24’小时全科医生实时在线的远程视频医疗服务。即使在夜间,也可以进行专业医疗咨询与指导,减少了家庭奔波的辛苦。教育方面,通过全语音全视频交互,可以实现12岁以下儿童的作业辅导,还能启动远程教育课程,为教育辅导提供更多可能的方式。”樊清涛让我们看睿豆的肚子,那是一块液晶显示屏,显示家庭医生、教育辅导、家庭安防、生活管家、智能家居等功能。

In March of that year, Fan Qingtao and other three founders jointly founded Chongqing Ranada Automation Technology Co., Ltd. in an office in Gangcheng Industrial Park, Jiangbei District, and turned the direction of entrepreneurship from the traditional circulation industry to robots.
"Where is the consumer's rigid demand? Could modern technology realize and meet the needs?"After the founding of the company, Fan Qingtao,as the CEO, was constantly thinking about the functional properties of robots and looking for possible points of penetration for the project.
At that time, the safety of elderly people living alone and children left behind in their families became hot topics in society. Once there was a crisis,it was very difficult to call for help from others in time. However, there were no mature products for these two types of people in the market. He realized that this field would become the future development direction with extremely broad market prospect.
After determining the sub-areas to be penetrated, he began to participate in exchange meetings and activities in various places to find suitable technical teams. It was at that time that he met professor Zhang Wenqiang of Fudan University's Robot Intelligence Laboratory. There was a lot of consensus between the two sides on the application of artificial intelligence.
Through constant communication, the two sides finally reached technical cooperation and officially opened the company's first robot project in June,2016.
"In terms of medical services, in cooperation with the medical platform, we have realized a'7×24'hours long-distance video medical service for general practitioners online in real time. Even at night, professional medical consultation and guidance can be carried out to prevent families from running around. In education, through allvoice and all-video interaction, homework tutoring for children under 12 years old can be realized, and distance education courses can be started, providing more possible ways for educational tutoring." Fan asked us to take a look at Rinddle's belly, which was a LCD screen that showed the functions of family doctors, educational tutoring, family security, life housekeeper, smart home, etc..
Focusing on Technology Research and Development for Two Years
对初创公司而言,要推出一款被大众认可的产品,路途注定不平坦。从技术研发开始,到产品研发完成准备进入市场,樊清涛说,锐纳达公司走的路可以用披荆斩棘来形容。
“很多公司都主张赚快钱,但在技术研发还没有完全到位的情况下,直接进入市场往往得不偿失。”樊清涛说,“我们与复旦大学的合作,走的是‘产学研’路线,在两年多时间里,公司投入了上千万元,这个过程中没有营收,完全专注于技术研发。”
正是基于对技术的坚持和尊重,锐纳达公司打动了复旦大学技术团队,获得了合作的机会。公司与该团队一起共同研发“睿豆”机器人,在语音交互、机器人视觉等方面拥有了核心技术,使产品更具竞争力。
在满足老人和儿童的需求之外,“睿豆”机器人还在智能生活方面做了进一步延伸,不仅能对火灾、煤气泄漏、小偷进入房间等情况发出警报,还支持30万种红外家电的智能语音控制,实现大部分有线电视和机顶盒的语音智能红外遥控功能。
值得一提的是,通过与京东、美团外卖等平台达成合作,未来“睿豆”还能实现智能语音购物、外卖点餐等功能。

“Many companies advocate making quick money, but when technology research and development are not fully in place, it will often get more kicks than halfpence to enter the market directly.” Fan said, “our cooperation with Fudan University follows the route of “production, study and research’. The company has invested tens of millions of yuan with no revenue during this process for more than two years, completely focusing on technology research and development. ”
It is precisely because of the adherence to and respect for technology that Ranada company has moved Fudan University's technical team and obtained the opportunity to cooperate. The company and the team have jointly developed the robot"Rinddle", which has core technologies in voice interaction and robot vision, making the product more competitive.
In addition to meeting the needs of the elderly and children, the robot "Rinddle" has made further extension in intelligent life. It can not only warn of fires, gas leaks, thieves entering rooms, etc., and also supports the intelligent voice control of 300,000 kinds of infrared appliances and realizes the voiceintelligent IRC functions of most cable televisions and set-top boxes.
It is worth mentioning that in cooperation with JD, Meituan Takeout and other platforms, "Rinddle"can also realize intelligent voice shopping, takeout ordering and other functions in the future.
Stage of Cultivating Market Perception
有了好的产品之后,又该如何落地呢?
创业伊始,团队就不断进行市场调研,2017年更是对市场上70多个品牌、50多家厂商、上百种机器人进行了深度调研,发现消费者对于机器人还处于认知阶段。
“我们将购买者定位为家庭的中坚层,主要受众为家中的老人和孩子。此前市场上也推出过桌面机器人、家庭服务机器人、服务平台型机器人等功能型机器人,但售价普遍两极化:语音交互型的服务机器人,从几百元到几十元,而功能服务型的价格,却在万元到数万元之间。”樊清涛认为,功能服务型机器人的产品价格之所以高昂,主要源于前期的技术投入与生产成本,但这也使得普通家庭难以接受,目前家庭服务机器人行业正处于市场认知期,过高的价格会造成消费壁垒,不利于市场开拓。
为此,“睿豆”机器人在定价上向笔记本电脑靠拢,远低于同类产品,主打高性价比。
考虑到市场仍有较长的培育期,“睿豆”机器人将面向家电连锁实体店、医疗机构、家装行业等进行产品推广,让消费者直接对话智能家庭服务机器人,同时在线上开通电商平台,作为消费者了解信息和购买渠道之一。
“现在产品已经研发完成,预计最快在今年底就能上市。”樊清涛说,尽管家庭服务机器人在很多人眼中目前还是一个“陌生人”,但随着技术的进步,人工智能离人们的生活已经越来越近。
How can we gain a foothold after we have good products?

"We position buyers as the backbone of the family and the main audience is the elderly and children in the family. Previously, desktop robots,home service robots, service platform robots and other functional robots have also been introduced in the market, but the selling price was generally polarized. The price of a voice interaction type service robot ranges from several hundreds yuan to several tens of yuan, while that of a functional service robot is between ten thousand yuan and tens of thousands of yuan." Fan believes that the reason why the price of functional service robots is so high is mainly due to the early technological investment and production cost, but this also makes it difficult for ordinary families to accept it. At present, the home service robot industry is in a period of market awareness. If the price is too high, consumption barrier will be generated, which goes against the market development.
For this reason, the robot "Rinddle" is close to notebook computers in pricing, which is far lower than similar products but featuring high cost performance.
Considering that the market still has a long cultivation period, the robot "Rinddle" will promote products for home appliance chain stores, medical institutions, home decoration industry and so on,allowing consumers to directly talk to intelligent home service robots. At the same time, the e-commerce platform is opened online as one of the channels for consumers to get information and purchase.
"Now the product's research and development stage is completed and is expected to be available as soon as the end of this year." Fan said, although home service robots are still "strangers" in many people's eyes, with the progress of technology,artificial intelligence is getting closer and closer to people's lives.
