1 FAA Looks into “Turkeys Drop” Activity 美国联邦航空局调查“ 丢火鸡” 活动

The annual[一年一度的]Yellville Turkey Trot[火鸡跑]in northern Arkansas included a turkey drop for more than five decades.Several birds were dropped and then chased by festivalgoers.

A local animal rights activist has now filed[提出]a formal complaint[控诉]with the sheriff[县治安官]. She says the activity“terrorized[使恐惧]” the birds and violated[违反]state laws against animal cruelty[残忍].

The FAA[Federal Aviation Administration，（美国）联邦航空局]says it will check to see whether any laws were broken.

The color of Cicero Creek[小溪]in Tipton was changed on Tuesday. Investigators[调查者]found that no more than 300 gallons[加仑](1,136 liters[升]) of milk spilled[意外溢出]from the Park 100 Foods plant[工厂].

State environmental officials indicated[指出]the spill wasn’t dangerous.

Crews[工作人员]used hay bales[干草捆]to help contain[阻止]the milk and a cleanup[清除]company removed about 14,000 gallons (53,000 liters) of a water and milk mixture[混合物]from the creek.

The Tipton County Emergency Management Director said the creek was back to its normal color on Wednesday.

Rachel Marie managed to snag[获得，抢到]one of only 20 packets of the super rare[稀有的]sauce. When she posted a photo of the sauce packet on Pin[琐碎物]Nation,a Facebook group of trading pins, a man found her. He wanted to buy the single Szechuan Sauce packet with a Volkswagen[大众]car.

4 Crayfish Staffs Help Brewery Keep Its Water Pure 小龙虾“员工”助力啤酒厂保持水体纯净

Cray fi sh[小龙虾]have been drafted[征募]in by a Czech brewery[啤酒厂]to keep their water supply[供给]pure.

The Protivin Brewery in South Bohemia has placed crayfish in its water tanks[人工蓄水池].The crayfish can react quickly to changes in their aquatic[水生的]environment.

The animals are fitted[安装]with infrared[红外线的]bio-sensors[生物传感器]which monitor[监测]their heartbeat and movement. Data is analyzed[分析]by a computer,and any changes in the animals’ bodies or behaviors mark a change in the purity levels of the water in their tanks.
