一、文体概述

感谢信是指在日常学习和生活中,受惠者给给予自己帮助、支持、关心等的人表示感谢的信件。所表达的情感必须真挚。信件通常包括以下内容:写信的目的(表示感谢)→感谢的原因(详细展开)→对方的作用和对自己的意义→再次表示感谢。

二、必备短语

1. take the opportunity 利用这个机会;趁机

2. It was really kind of you... 你真好……

3. return ones kindness回报某人的善意

4. with ones help/with the help of sb. 在某人的帮助下

5. express ones gratitude for 因……表示感激

6. recall those beautiful days回忆那些美好的日子

7. I sincerely appreciate your help. 我真诚地感激你的帮助。

8. thanks to/because of your encouragement由于你的鼓励

9. be patient with sb./ have much patience with sb.对某人有耐心

10. Without your help, I wouldnt... 没有你的帮助,我就不会……

三、套用句式

1. My true gratitude is beyond any words/description. 任何语言都无法表达我真挚的谢意。

2. We are very grateful for what you did for us. 非常感激你为我们做的一切。

3. I am writing to express my thanks for your helping me improve my spoken English. 我写这封信是为了表达你帮我提高英语口语的谢意。

4. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality and I am looking forward to seeing you soon. 再次感谢你的盛情招待,我非常期待不久后见到你。

5. Id like to take this opportunity to express my great appreciation for your timely help and assistance. 我谨借此机会感谢你给我及时的帮助和支持。

参考答案与范文

习作修改

李华上周在英国参加了学校组织的“文化交流周”活动,并住在Kelly家里。这是李华给Kelly写的一封感谢信。

1. warmly→warm 修饰名词warm,应用形容词。

2. on→in因participate in为固定搭配,意为“参加”。

3. yourself→myself 因主语是I,应该是“我”玩得开心,故用myself。

4. pay→paid 由Last week可知,此处描述的是过去的事情,故用一般过去时。

5. or→and 了解的應是“文化与历史”,而并非“文化或者历史”。

6. friend→friends 根据前面的many可知此处应用名词的复数形式。

7. 在stay前加to 因be lucky to do sth. 为固定搭配。

8. that→which 引导非限制性定语从句,只能用which指代先行词the dictionary。

9. 把make后的the去掉 应make full use of为固定搭配,意为“充分利用”。

10. convenience→convenient 系动词后接形容词作表语。

Dear Sure,

Im Li Hua, one of your students in China. Its almost a month since you left us. We all miss you and are very grateful for what you did for us.

We are busy as usual. We had an English speech contest the other day. I won the first prize!This again reminds me of all your kind help. Do you still remember the trees we planted together on the hill behind the school? Yesterday, we went there and watered them. The tree you planted yourself is growing well, and the whole class decided to name it Sue Wood. Will you come back to see Sue Wood?
