Are you hungry?还是Do you hungry?

“ARE you hungry?”还是“DO you hungry?”，在课堂上我无数次看到同学们为此而凌乱。

首先要告诉大家正确的是：Are you hungry?! （强烈建议感觉凌乱的同学大声读该句3～5遍。“以正压邪”永远都是改正错误的最佳方法。）接着是个令大家更凌乱的问题：

“为什么用‘Are’? ”

“因为‘Are’是‘be’动词而‘hungry’是形容词。”

（Benson老师觉得能想明白这个问题的同学算是传说中的学霸了！而知道 “系动词‘be’后面接形容词作表语”的同学，将来一定有望成为大教育家！）

“be动词（am/are/is）+形容词（adj.）”就是这样简单！让我们一起疯狂学习以下含该结构的句子：

1) I am fne. 我很好。

2) You are beautiful. 你真美。

3) He is clever. 他很聪明。

4) We are so happy today. 今天我们非常开心。

5) I am not good at maths. But my English is very good. 我不擅长数学。但我的英语很好。

6) Our school is not very big. But it is very modern.我们的学校不是很大，但是它很现代化。

7) The children are not tired at all. They are energetic.孩子们一点儿都不累，他们精力很充沛。

8) Are you hungry? 你饿吗？

9) Is your room big and comfortable? 你的房间是不是又大又舒适？

10) Was he sad when he heard the bad news? 他听到那个坏消息时伤心吗？

11) Will you be excited to go to the UK for summer holiday? 你对去英国过暑假感到兴奋吗？12) Don’t be late again or your teacher will be angry. 别再迟到了，否则老师会生气的。

小总结：Are you hungry?（√）和Do you hungry?（×）给同学们所带来的凌乱，其实是大家在学习中缺乏词性意识所致。学新单词时，大家都会先学它的读音，其次学拼写，接着学释义。但大多数人到这里就结束学习了。其实还有一个至关重要的内容需要学，那就是单词的词性。词性是单词用法的根据。只有了解了单词的词性，我们才能知道应该如何使用它。
