The ice which looks like actual gems. This magical looking beach appears to be covered in enormous glowing gemstones but they are actually chunks of ice. A spectacular sunset turns the sky a dusky orange and the fading light causes the frozen gems on the sand to shine luminous blue. Bright white waves from the Atlantic ocean wash over the pebbles and ice on what is known as the Ice Diamond Beach in south east Iceland.
