1 The characteristics of shallow geothermal energy
The earth's surface is a huge natural reservoir, the solar energy is equivalent to 2000 times the world's energy consumption. In the range of 10m to the ground surface, the surface temperature is influenced by the atmospheric environment The surface temperature is constant, which is not influenced by the atmospheric environment. Shallow geothermal energy is the thermal energy[1], which contains the value of the development and utilization of the soil, groundwater and surface water in a certain depth (generally 200m). Shallow geothermal energy is a kind of heat energy. It is a part of geothermal resources. Shallow geothermal energy development technology is increasingly mature. It has been widely used in heating and cooling. Whats more it is a very good alternative energy and clean energy. Shallow geothermal energy is also known as the shallow geothermal energy[2]. Its energy mainly comes from the solar radiation and the earth gradient. The shallow geothermal energy can be referred to as renewable energy, clean energy, non fuel energy, new energy, process energy, low grade energy and non commodity energy according to according to different classification methods[3].
2 The study of ground source heat pump
In the world geothermal can be directly used. In recent years, the development and application of ground source heat pump is prominent in shallow layer geothermal energy. The installed capacity and utilization of energy have rapidly grown at the speed of more than 20%. The technology was adapted to the needs of high efficient energy saving and environment protection and economy, generally applicable. The history of ground source heat pump can be traced back to a patent of Switzerland in 1912, but the ground source heat pump is a new technology. It was used in the middle of 1980s.
3 General situation of shallow geothermal energy research in China
China has a good heat pump research and application basis, as early as in 1950s, Tianjin University was carried out the study of the heat pump in China. In 1965 the first successful development of the first water cooled heat pump unit. However, due to various reasons, the development was slow. Until the end of the 80's early 90's, the domestic various universities have begun to study the heat source heat pump. Since entering twenty-first Century, China has made a number of remarkable achievements. In the aspects of heat pump model simulation ,such as experimental device, energy consumption evaluation and system materials research. With the shortage of traditional energy and people's attention to the development of new energy and renewable energy, as well as the growing maturity of heat pump technology, heat pump technology development has been rapidly developed.
4 Comparison of current situation of shallow geothermal energy in home and abroad
Domestic ground source heat pump technology compared to foreign countries, was developed in last century. The 90's Tsinghua University professor Xu Bingye introduced this technology to China, when the beginning of the development of ground source heat pump technology in china. In our country, the development of shallow geothermal heat pump technology is relatively low and the relevant technology research and development lags behind. Because of the lack of survey and evaluation work, the lack of necessary support and incentive policies for the country and all levels of government the development and utilization of the project has a certain blindness. But at the same time, China's ground source heat pump technology was start late, and the development speed is relatively fast. The scope and the size are bigger than other countries.
