After reading “Ma Yuns Internet World,” I better understand why the Chinese celebrate 11 November and how it becomes an e-commerce party. Alibaba is Chinas largest online retailer, with hundreds of millions of users, which provides business platforms for millions of online shops, taking up 80 percent of Chinas online shopping market share. In 2013, Alipay, the companys smartphonebased payment platform, had a turnover more than three times that of U.S. rival PayPal. In 2014 Alibaba hosted transactions of RMB 57.1 billion in a single day! Unbelievable! The company made headlines again with its debut on the New York Stock Exchange. Everyone wonders how China develops so fast. I really look forward to reading about Chinas future commercial success.

I am a senator of the Republic of Mexico. Its a real pleasure and an honor to visit Beijing at the invitation of the Chinese government. I am also very glad to meet with staff members of China Today magazine. This publication is widely known and respected in my country. I have personally subscribed to it for many years and enjoyed reading the high-level dialogues on bilateral and multilateral relations. The great efforts of the magazine in promoting a better relationship between China and the rest of the world deserve our support. Thanks again for your hard work. I sincerely hope that China Today will be read all over the world.

I am happy to read your magazine, thanks to my wifes annual subscription. I still have a lot to learn about China. I enjoy the reports on Chinas foreign trade and the travel stories. As an amateur painter, I appreciate the pictures in travel articles of Chinas beautiful scenery. If I had the opportunity to go to China, I would definitely paint it. I also wish I could write for China Today.

I teach German to Chinese students in Sri Lanka. China Today teaches me a lot about China and helps me to communicate with my students. Recently I read the article “Chinas New Diplomatic Blueprint for South Asia,” which discusses the significance of building up the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. That two countries have promised to push forward negotiations for a free trade agreement, and the Chinese government wants to encourage more companies to operate in Sri Lanka, and that the two sides have vowed to promote Chinese language learning in Sri Lanka is inspiring news for us !
