It’s scary graduating from college; it’s like, when you f nally feel like you ft in, and you’ve gotten the lay of the land, it’s (not so suddenly) time to ship off, as you’re thrust from the frying pan of learning into the f res of employment.

I was lucky enough to land an awesome job a few months before graduation.It wasn’t easy though.I had to go to this cattle-call audition at some random hotel, where I was surrounded by thousands of other would-be Broadway stars hoping to break into the business.But I beat ’em all out, and got a handful of job offers.That’s when I faced a tough decision.Do I sign a short-term contract to play a principal role for a regional theatre, or do I sign a longer, more lucrative deal touring the United States, performing as a giant dancing dragon in a children’s show.I took the latter, even though it was certainly the scarier choice.

So as graduation nears, just try taking a deep breath and remembering that this is not the end, but rather, a whole new beginning.

大学毕业是一件很可怕的事情，感觉就像你刚融入大学环境，熟悉了那里的情况，但马上就要离开（虽不是突如其来），从读书学习的煎锅跳入就业的火坑。

我很幸运地在毕业前几个月就找到了一份不错的工作。但过程并不轻松。我在一家酒店参加那场海选试镜会，当时有几千名百老汇明日之星希望闯入这个行业中。但我把他们全打败了，得到了好几个工作机会。我也因此面临着艰难的抉择。我应该跟一个地方戏剧院签一份短期合约，出演一个主要角色，还是应该签一份长期合约，加入在美国巡演的、获利更丰厚的剧团，在一个儿童剧中扮演一条巨大的舞龙？我选择了后者，尽管那肯定是个更吓人的选择。
